Keri Warner has virtually no obligations. She has lost her parents and has no real family. She is between jobs. She has no lover. She owns no property. She has no sense of direction in life.

Why not do some traveling then?

Officer E. Ahsad is one of the guards in the jail where Keri ends up—half a world away in the oppressed, American-hating country of Pakistan—after she is kidnapped by a mysterious abductor. Despite their radically different lives, Officer Ahsad becomes very fond of Keri. She does her best to maintain the beautiful blonde inmate’s comfort along the way, as well as to see to it that she is not abused.

In time, Keri learns to trust the tall, dark guard to whom she is deeply attracted.

But Officer Ahsad has a secret of her own—one that may tear Keri’s already fragile world apart forever.
