Among the masses, blurred and fast,

A goddess walked, my heart beat fast.

She wore the sun upon her smile,

And made the crowded world worthwhile,

A vision paused in time awhile.

Her hair like waves of midnight seas,

That danced beneath the softest breeze,

Her eyes held stars the skies had missed,

Her lips, a promise yet unkissed,

My soul awoke, my heart was kissed.

Her laughter lit the air with gold,

And stories in her steps were told,

She passed me by a sacred flame,

And yet I never knew her name,

But felt I’d never be the same.

A sonnet dressed in morning light,

My shadows faded at her sight.
