Once upon a time, on Mack's farm, an egg hatched and a new chick was born. After so long in darkness, it finally saw light. It blinked once, then twice. For the first time, the chick saw other creatures like itself: some walking, some running, and some sleeping. Before the chick could step out of its broken eggshell, it saw an old black chicken known as Father Menteur holding a small branch. Father Menteur climbed onto the same old box in the middle of the chicken farm, the same one he had stood on five years ago. Back then, the chickens had looked at him with disappointment and no respect. Deep down, he told himself he would not repeat the same mistake. "This time, the new generation will love me as their father," Father Menteur thought. He gripped the branch tighter and began to shout, "My fellow chickens! Can you hear that sound? The sound of power— greater than my voice! The time has come. One of the gods is coming, and will decide which one of us will be taken to THE NEXT PLACE. It can be you, my friend! Or you there! Or even the eggs that have not yet hatched! Stay ready... because this moment will decide your future!"
After hearing Father Menteur, moments later the little chick saw something it wished it had never seen: something unbelievable, looking different from a chicken. It was 5-6 feet tall and much bigger. At that moment, the little chick saw its first human creature. The little chick was so nervous it ducked its head, picked up a broken piece of eggshell, and covered itself with it. It was so well hidden that it looked as if the egg had never hatched. The chick trembled in fear, praying it had not been seen by the creature. All it could hear were chickens cheering, and the heavy footsteps growing closer. Its heart began to beat faster. It was nervous and confused— why were they cheering instead of panicking?525Please respect copyright.PENANADEBoqFh2a0
Moments later, everything went silent. Then the little chick felt the eggshell lift off the ground— it was being carried. It thought that if it did not act now, it would die. It pushed the top piece of the eggshell and peeked out to see what was happening. It saw many unhatched eggs around it, and a large, frightening face above. Terrified, the chick quickly hid back inside the shell.525Please respect copyright.PENANAW8qMj9xLzw
"I need to get out of here, or I'II die," it thought " Be brave... or you'll die." 525Please respect copyright.PENANA6C6isUhQzi
The chick lifted its head once more to take another look at the giant creature— but this time, the creature's eyes were already staring directly at it.525Please respect copyright.PENANAWsOKjkaRUg
"What the hell..." Mack said, surprised. "Is that a—"525Please respect copyright.PENANADd68N5Ftmw
Before he could finish speaking, The little chick jumped towards his face, causing him to fall to the ground and break three eggs.525Please respect copyright.PENANALHFX74vpzE
"Oh come on!" Mack muttered. "Now what am I going to tell Mario about some of his eggs?"525Please respect copyright.PENANAWFT8D9ZE9s
The little chick ran as fast as it could away from Mack, back towards the nest where it had first hatched. There, it saw two large chickens searching around the nest for something. That was the moment the chick saw its parents. And it was then that he was named KIM. The first light Kim saw when it had hatched was THE LIGHT OF LIFE.525Please respect copyright.PENANAS1ezNAmxJo

"It's alright, Mario— you can come anytime," Susan said on the phone. "Mack just went to the farm to fetch the fertilized eggs, and by the time you arrive, I'll already have them packed and ready for your farm... yes... and say hi to my sister. You better be taking good care of her, haha. Alright, see you soon."525Please respect copyright.PENANAEef7t6lNIA
Mack entered the house covered in mud and egg yolk, holding an egg tray with a few broken. 525Please respect copyright.PENANAKnkfj7GotZ
"You look so clean and sharp," Susan said. "What happened now? Please tell me Mario's eggs are fine. I was just on the phone with him— he'll be here soon."525Please respect copyright.PENANAM9PjYYku89
Mack placed the egg tray on the table and took off his dirty jacket. "Don't want to talk about it," he said in a low voice. "Most of them are still fine. Get them ready for him. I'm going to take a shower."525Please respect copyright.PENANA0nvVG0xpWM

Mario arrived, and Susan explained the what happened to the three broken eggs525Please respect copyright.PENANAMh2PVHwk2p
"That wouldn't really be a problem because I wanted big chickens anyways. Can I get two chickens and one rooster? I'm not sure if what I have is enough to pay for it," Mario said.525Please respect copyright.PENANA17XzU07tMS
Susan laughed. "What kind of sister-in-law do you think I am?" Come on in— it looks like it's about to rain."525Please respect copyright.PENANAXHaSFtzquS
The sky darkened, and heavy rain began to fall. Mario parked his car and followed Susan into the house.525Please respect copyright.PENANAH74OlXRJNJ

Mario was in a hurry and could not stay long for dinner. With Mack in the shower and the children at school, Susan took umbrellas for herself and Mario and showed hum around the large farm, divided into sections for chickens, cows, pigs, and horses.525Please respect copyright.PENANAOmayKa454q
"Wow, this is a really big farm you have," Mario said, surprised. "Mine is only a fraction of this."525Please respect copyright.PENANAvo4NqbGSy4
"oh, thank you. We've been trying for years to expand it," Susan replied. "Next time you visit, I'll show you around properly with the animals too."525Please respect copyright.PENANAlTBVdJzbLb
"No, no— this section is for the chickens with unfertilized eggs. And here is the section with chickens and roosters, where the fertilized eggs you need come from."525Please respect copyright.PENANAOfpWYbN8qi

The clouds darkened, and the ground grew wet. All the chickens stood together like a large audience. They surrounded an old box, on top of which stood Father Menteur, holding a branch. He lifted up his hand, faced the sky, and said: "They are coming. The rain says it all. Another one of us today is being chosen to THE NEXT PLACE."
