褆邃是庫克西大學的新生，在社團博覽會時看見一位女生被兩位歹徒強行拖走，他本能的上前阻止，女生掙脫逃走了，然而自己卻被歹徒打昏帶走了，當他再次醒來時，身體卻變為了機器人？！

在這個被稱為「第五紀」的時代，人類文明曾因跨越科而引發宇宙級災難，經歷了漫長的黑暗時期後，倖存的人類、神祕出現的該諾機器人共同建立了一個人類和機器人共存的社會。

而忒彌斯政府則稱那些黑暗時代、或是更早遺留之理應不應存在於現世之物為，代錯誤遺物——歐帕茲，不應存在於現世之技術為歐普泰克，故事圍繞在「阿賴耶識概論」這一歐普泰克上，主角們將一邊度過大學生活、一邊面對分身的威脅、靈魂交換、降靈等事。
