　　曾經有人說過，地球是一個大監獄，我們被困在這個監獄中是因為犯下一些不知道的罪過，要在這裡以不同的樣貌生活。死後，等待輪迴重生，用另一個形態繼續生活。在現代，會稱這叫做輪迴，當你行事正當．便有機會去到高層次的次元，變成天神，天使或其它更高次元的存在，否則只能是餓鬼，畜生等形態。不論任何一個形態，只有極少數的人才明白，也知道怎樣可以擺脫監獄，擺脫輪迴，普渡眾生。

　　可是即使是最堅固，最大的監獄，都有人會做逃犯，所以地府總需要一些獄卒看守，然而，一次意外，獄卒竟然將自己的行刑武器留在凡間，使人類得到地府及監獄的知識，打通了不同界限的隔膜，才發現這原來是一個籌備已久的逃脫計劃。

　　男主角是一個喜歡研究神話的學生，碰巧遇見神劍，也邂逅了身為神秘調查科的女主角，並共同解開一個又一個謎團。
