Cynthia’s hand slowly reached the Ghostwalker… Buck’s face was unsuspecting, not like he was awake and aware enough to notice. Chains were rattling in the distance as the Amalgamation walked closer to the two.
His face, although now relaxed, looked desperate to Cynthia. He wasn’t lying, was he?
The Ghostwalker felt extremely light, and it didn’t take long for her to put it next to Buck’s chest. Hesitantly, her hand moved it up to his neck…
The Amalgamation was only getting closer. A few chains began to tighten around the Terror crowds, slowly crushing them all to death. It was hard not for her to begin panicking.
The things that were shown to her…
Buck impaled, Hope begging, Josh mangled, Skye pleading, Zephyr destroyed…
Is it really telling the future..?
Before she knew it, the sword was pressing against his neck.
“What are you doing..?”
His eyes fixated on the blade. Chains began to swarm Buck as the Amalgamation cracked the ground below it with each closer step.
“No, Cyn. Think about what you’re doing!”
“Did you ever think about what you did to Hope? Me? Josh? Skye? Axel?”
“Just think about it! You CAN’T face that thing alone! You aren’t strong enough!”
“Strong… enough?” She chuckled, sideyeing the Amalgamation which was only metres away from her.
Buck shook, before Cynthia charged a lunge. Her hand hesitated one more time.
Just one kill upon many.
“Cyn… please… it doesn’t need to be me-”
“Go to hell.”
“WAIT!”
The Ghostwalker was driven into his neck, his hands and legs stopped jerking as multiple drops of blood were scattered all over the floor.
The Amalgamation was only a metre next to Buck. DEATH was approaching him.
“Cyn… You-”
“SHUT UP!”
Another strike, stabbed straight into his eye. Gouged out in anger as the blood flashed on her face.
The Ghostwalker turned slightly heavier, while the Amalgamation’s force pulled stronger. The Ghostwalker was pulled out before being thrown straight into the Amalgamation, stunning it. Chains were retracted.
Struggling, she stood up using the Firebrand on her far right before running towards the Amalgamation and slashing upwards with the Firebrand, reequipping the Ghostwalker in the process.
The Swapper in the distance was running to the corner of the Arena, hiding from the chaos, until they had a glance at Buck’s body.
He was just… sitting there. Blood still dripped from his mouth, a punctured hole in his neck.
Gone.
“One kill upon many.” Cynthia kept telling herself.
Buck’s body was absorbed by the Amalgamation. If she kept killing with the Ghostwalker, that and the Amalgamation would just get stronger.
She needed another way to kill. It wasn’t enough.
There was an eerie silence between the two. The Amalgamation was almost waiting for her to make her move.
Cynthia felt slightly empty. Usually after a kill, she feels some kind of… remorse.
Guilt.
All she felt was pure hatred.

She wiped Buck’s blood off her cheek and rubbed it onto the Ghostwalker.
“Bring it.”

The Amalgamation shot another chain into the sky… this time faster than usual. Red. It began to run straight to Cynthia as the chain journeyed on.
The chain pierced through clouds, going further and further, exiting the atmosphere.

Silence. Space is a vacuum after all. The chain caught onto a spaceship that was hovering above the planet.
A team of six. Three lay in their rooms, the Captain and Analyst doing duties around the ship and the Pilot navigating them to a possible source.
They all searched for one thing.
Where did these swords come from?
People say blacksmiths, but it doesn’t explain the magic. Others say Telamon, but who would believe in a stupid religion like that..? There’s no evidence anywhere on Earth… so there must be some kind of cosmic connection.
It was a British ship. One of the room doors opened and out of it came a broad middle-aged man. He went up to the room opposite to him.
“Hey, Nela? Can I ask ya something?” He said with a country accent. Definitely not British. “The potions we stole from that… lab. Ya think it’s got anything to do with that “Hope’s Dagger” conspiracy?
Instead of Nela responding, Charlie mentioned something from the room across the hallway.
“That they extracted the magic from her original dagger? Maybe. Those religious freaks said in one of those documents that they believe the “Icedagger” or whatever they call it is the most powerful one of all, and-”
“Did I ask you?” The country man shouted from across the hallway.
He didn’t get a response back from Nela, she was probably still sleeping.
Ping!
That came from the Analyst’s tablet.
The ship was peaceful. Today was the fifteenth day of what felt like an eternal expedition. Is time even real in space..?
Suddenly, a pull was felt. Everyone on the ship was banged against the metal floor.
“T’fuck was that?” cried Charlie from the room opposite. His door opened as he floated himself towards the navigation room.
“Oh… ow…”
“Oh, NOW you’re awake!”
“Thomas, go away.” She muffled into her pillow, refusing to open her door.
He knocked on the door around 10 times.
“SIGHHHHHHH.”
“Was that meant to be a sigh?” He asked. “Sounded like when my mother had-”
“We don’t have time for this shit! Come on!” Charlie beckoned to him.
“Just shut up and see what's going on.” It sounded like she was ready to go back to sleep.

In the Navigation room, pilot Zhen seemed to be in some sort of panic as the Analyst Kai described the issue.
“This… chain. Something’s going on down there. The arena.” Kai looked into the void of space and gave Zhen the tablet.
“Captain, take a look at this.” The pilot used a beckoning hand gesture to get his attention.
The captain walked towards them and looked at Kai’s screen.
“Oh flummery. That’s not just any chain. That’s the Amalgamation. Get the team!” He ordered Kai. “We can’t let it take us back!”
Thomas stood in his way. “Cap’n Noah, wait.”
“Are you mad? We don’t have time for this, you inbred old man. Move.”
“Just because my mother is also my cous-”
“Thomas! This is serious! Move! That is an order!”
Another pull was felt. Crates came crashing down towards Thomas and the Captain.
“Oh come on!”
“Just shut up, Thomas!” Zhen shouted from her seat.
“That’s Sleepy Joe to y-”
The chain began to pull the spaceship down at rapid speeds. No matter how heavy the ship was, it took no effort for the chain to come crashlanding back into Earth.
Alarms began to blare as they were sent flying towards the planet.
“Oh shit! What do we do?” Charlie braces for impact.
“Zhen! Fly us up!” Noah commanded.
“It’s not working!”
Nela was seen floating towards the crew capsule.
“What are you doing?!” Thomas shouts.
“I’m not dying with you idiots.”
“No no no! Get back here! Your captain orders you!” Noah threw an Ice Potion towards her, but the pulls had immediately made the potion collide with the roof of the ship, shattering it.

Before they knew it, they had already reached Earth’s atmosphere. Nela was seen frantically pressing buttons as Noah tried to stop her, Zhen was trying her best to break the ship free from the chains but to no avail, Kai and Charlie were holding onto bars to brace themselves and Thomas was already downed from the impacts between himself and the roof.
Clouds began to clear swiftly as they reached closer to their inevitable crash site.
Down below, the Amalgamation stood in the centre of the Arena, and before it began another charge towards a wounded Cynthia…
It crashed into the Amalgamation, its hands were almost trying to hold it up to prevent it from getting crushed. It didn’t know it, but it just saved everything from falling into pandemonium. The ship was almost saved… but as for the people in it.
“Charlie! Damn it, wake up! Wake up!” Zhen’s voice echoed.
“What..?” Cynthia looked in surprise. She stepped away from the ship to prevent getting crushed.
Kai was the first to step out of the ship, carrying the captain on his shoulders, struggling to breathe.
The Amalgamation’s hands began to shake more as Cynthia had an idea. She grabbed the Ghostwalker and threw it into the Amalgamation, weakening its base and becoming more prone to the ship crushing it. The creaking of the ship only became louder.
The rest of the crew began to evacuate, Zhen holding Charlie on her back, and Thomas dragging…
Nela’s mangled corpse.

“None of this makes any sense… Who are you people?” Cynthia bellowed.
She focused her eyes on Thomas.
“Wh… Sleepy Joe..?”
“Well well! If it isn’t Cy-”
Cynthia began to charge straight at him using the Firebrand, but he immediately grabbed an Ice Potion and threw it straight into the Firebrand… completely freezing it.
The Amalgamation began to lift up the spaceship more, as if it were preparing to throw it. The Ghostwalker still stabbed inside of it was draining the energy out of it… as if it was trying to confine it.
Charlie was quickly beginning to bleed out as Zhen attempted to stop it. Kai was trying to do something similar to stop Captain Noah’s blood loss, but it was hard for him to do so when he himself was getting more and more dizzy. His blood dripped from the mouth, nose, body and forehead.
Thomas threw Nela’s corpse into the bottomless lava pit below them, just before the Amalgamation could consume her power too.
“What the hell is going on, Joe? Why did you leave us?!”
“How about you tell us?? Some chain created by that… thing dragged us down here!” Kai exclaimed, almost screaming in pain.
“It must’ve sensed the potion magic.” Zhen realized.
“Who the hell are you?!”
The captain looked up at Cynthia, and wheezing in pain he whispered:
“It’s… me crew.”
Zhen looked up.
“We were going to go n’ see what could have created those swords. No evidence on Earth, so we thought we could find stuff out there.” She was still trying to save Charlie… but it was to no avail.
“Heh… I guess a captain does go down with his ship… huh.”
“I’m not losing you now… come on!”

The Amalgamation roared, immediately stopping all the noise and commotion that the crew were making. Its hands grew into a gigantic size and began to crush the ship into pieces.
“The… potions.” The captain whispered to Kai.
“Take them. To the Clock.”
“What..?”
“Lab.”
He stopped breathing.
“What clock..?”
Kai looked in disbelief.
“What clock?!”
No response.
“FUCK!”
Kai grabbed his pack, filled with numerous test tubes and a fair amount of potions. He took the bag and glanced at the body.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t save you!”
Another roar echoed from the being. Suddenly, the ship was becoming smaller and smaller as parts flew from the ship, bigger components being dented.
“DUCK!” Zhen shouted, abandoning Charlie’s body.
Zhen, Kai, Thomas and Cynthia all scrambled to a wall and ducked behind it.
Yellow beams of light emitted from the Amalgamation’s hands as giant parts of the spaceship flew across the Arena. If they didn’t duck… they would be dead.
The ground shook as the Amalgamation slowly crushed it… but the Ghostwalker was also beginning to drain more of its energy. If it continued to use more of its energy like that, it would be confined back into the weapon.
“The Ghostwalker is inside of it, right?”
“Yeah, I threw it in there… why?”
“Just wait here! That includes you, Thomas!”
“It’s Sleepy Joe! And no! I know how to handle this, and this isn’t the way! It will only fully work if someone is holding the weapon. All this is doing is making that thing tired, but not beatable.”
“Then let me go up there!”
Cynthia started to stand up, but a ship part immediately grazed against the bow on her hair. The force of the air immediately sat her back down.
The rest of the spaceship was folded into one big cube of metal as the Amalgamation threw it straight into the sky, far out of the Arena.
It roared straight at Cynthia, enraged at her. The body parts of the Amalgamation returned back to its normal size. It grabbed the Ghostwalker out of its torso and began to wield it. It then picked up its staff from the ground and wielded that in its left hand.
“Unfreeze the Firebrand.” She looks at the crew.
“What?” Kai raised an eyebrow.
“THAW IT OUT! DO SOMETHING!”
“Well… that’s not how that works! You’re gonna have to wait at least a few minutes before it starts melting-”
“Okay. So you can’t do jackshit. Great.”
Cynthia grabbed the Illumina from her pack, gripping it tightly as she approached the Amalgamation.
If she gets close enough, she can grab the Ghostwalker and finish it off.
Before it finishes her.
