格里斯太太的兩個小孩，一位名叫諾爾夫，一位名叫達娜。

一切都源於一杯的茶葉開始，當樓梯口的女僕將手帕遞過來時，諾爾夫將鐵軌排列好了。也就是說可以通車了，但他不在乎，因為沒了車。他叫來了達娜，而格里斯則看著他們喝著茶。

海水沖淡了樓梯，因為下了大雨，但搜索沒有停止。因為他們發現，只要格里斯的茶能夠喝完，那麼諾爾夫就不再生氣。因為沒了火車，諾爾夫向著窗外走去，他看了看那些列車：「信封到了。」
