"Pig Cemetery"

In shadows of buildings, the poor children play.

Brutal force would be taken for just being children.

The pigs would come to hurt and kill anyone.

In those streets, they guarded them like their own.

I was young; I could feel the chill in the air when they were there.

Us children had to be strong, facing poverty and brutality.

No more silence; you could hear the children cry, including me. God help us.

In the chaos, we stood as one.

We fought back when we were grown.

We even killed a few, and now they lay in the Pig Cemetery.

Quiet, and they just lay still,

In the Pig Cemetery.

We will fight them until the battle's won.

Justice for all and everyone.

Corruption is the root of the tree known as the government.

They grew the fruit known as police brutality.

The ghetto youth are in pain to this day.

From Kingston to Montego, it's all the same.

Brutality is all we know; no one is safe.

Take those pigs out and place them to bed.

Let them sleep in the Pig Cemetery.

Amen. Thank you, God, for protecting us.

We are your children, and we love you.

The corruption ran so deep, it got to my best friend.

He became a pig too, so he could rule over me.

How could he do this? He was my friend and my brother.

Never a break; it's all the same.

Wake hungry and poor, and go to sleep the same way.

Through poverty and brutality, we must stay strong.

The ones that hurt us will make their beds in the Pig Cemetery.

The sirens wail, and we run and hide;

They do not serve and protect, but to hurt us.

We will survive and break these chains.

Blood in the streets; the resistance is here.

You pigs will pay, and we the people will stand and fight

And put you to bed in the Pig Cemetery.

We will dance and celebrate when you are tucked in your beds

In the Pig Cemetery.
