I had to swallow my pride,

A life that was so hollow.

It didn't really matter anyway—

I'll never be like a god.

I've tried for so long,

Always wanting more from my life.

Why did I come back anyway?

I might as well return to Neverland.

A better life is a life without me,

Existence without meaning.

I never had a destiny.

I commanded so many raids;

The roses will cover the lives lost.

Walking on skeletons, I never felt a thing.

I didn't even know their names.

No fanfare, just gone—

A eulogy lost to time.

Who will sing their praises?

I have so many regrets.

I should have never returned.

A pain of guilt I had, or maybe never had.

Through it all, I was laughing in the sunshine.

I'll never be like a god.

I've tried for so long.

I always wanted so much for my life.

Why did I come back anyway?

I might as well return to Neverland.
