婷婷出生於幸福美滿的家庭，身為名廚的爸爸可愛親切，相當疼愛她和身為家庭主婦的媽媽。她對父母的愛情故事很感興趣，但他們都沒告訴她。
十六歲的她帶男朋友阿域跟父母見面，豈料爸爸竟然不喜歡他，第二次見面還趕走了他。她追出去的時候兩人不幸被車撞倒，醒來發現自己在一個偏遠落後的小島上，還被茶樓雜工阿堯誤以為是私奔走出來的小情侶。
不知道如何回去的婷婷和阿域唯有在茶樓跟阿堯一起打雜工維持生計，但她總是覺得島上的人和事很眼熟，像極了外公所居住、媽媽所成長的小島…
阿堯暗戀島上最富有的謝家小姐阿紫，但心知不能高攀。雖然他和阿紫關係進步了，可是仍不敢表露愛意，最後還知道她有未婚夫，更加決定死心。就在此時，婷婷漸漸發現自己身處什麼地方、自己跟各人的關係，不過她知道所有事情的真相，反而更加難過。為了各人的幸福，她覺得消失也在所不計…
