Rose.

A rose, deceptive and sharp.

Thorns you don’t see slice your fragile palms.

The blood drips onto pristine petals.

Petals that match the color of your blood.

A rose, given as a gift,

A sign of love.

Yet, they cut you as easily as a knife or a person.

They wilt and die, never staying.

Just like most people.

A rose, versatile.

A white rose means purity and innocence.

A red rose means love and passion.

A yellow rose means joy, friendship, and in some cases courage.

A pink rose means admiration and love.

All different but still the same flower.

Just like us.

All different but still human.

A rose, sharp and biting,

Just like us.

A rose, sweet and nice,

Just like us.

A rose, wilting without care,

Just like us.

A rose always ending but always beginning again,

Just like us.
