十二年前，林默的童年好友小雨在青山精神病院附近神秘失蹤，從此杳無音訊。這段記憶成為他揮之不去的夢魘——他總在深夜聽見小女孩的笑聲，感受到無形的目光，卻始終無法看清那張藏在黑暗中的臉。

十二年後，林默收到另一名兒時玩伴陳昊的詭異郵件：「我找到了小雨的線索。」兩人重返早已廢棄的精神病院，卻發現這棟陰森的建築隱藏著駭人真相——當年的「特殊兒童病房」曾進行某種超自然實驗，而小雨可能從未真正離開……

隨著探索深入，林默開始經歷無法解釋的現象：自動開關的門、牆上浮現的血字、走廊盡頭一閃而過的白色身影。當他們在塵封的檔案室找到小雨穿著病號服的照片時，一個毛骨悚然的問題浮現：當年和她們一起玩耍的，真的是「小雨」嗎？​​​​​​​

而現在，某個「東西」正從黑暗深處甦醒。它記得林默和陳昊，它想繼續那場未完成的「遊戲」……
