卓聖全，就讀於臺東大學的青年，大學一年級，因緣際會下加入了由學長創立的新社團——攝影社。自此之後，常常上山去拍攝與自然環境有關的照片，但也因次遇到了一連串奇妙的事情。

在山上遇見會說話的狐狸、來到一座只有南洋杉的森林。除此之外，還被要求解決一種奇妙的類人型物體——瘴影，而要解決它們的途徑，就只有卓聖全手中，那個由他的青梅竹馬送給他的禮物玻璃杯。隨著他一步步解決瘴影的問題，他也知道了這座森林背後的祕密……
