I never really enjoyed working at the Caffination Factory. To be honest, the name of the coffee shop was too perky for me. It didn't help when girls came in and tried to flirt with me as I took their order. Their voices were squeaky, and their skin was almost orange from being sprayed too tan. Their hair would always be so bleached blond it was almost white. Their nails would remind me more of the Wolverine's claws, and I was scared of them. Through and through, they frightened me more than they attracted me to them. They would order drinks so sweet, I was worried the sugar in them would disintegrate the clear and intricate cups that all our coffee was served in unless ordered to go.
I'm making a man his coffee on the other side of the bar when I hear a voice, a girl's voice. Oh God, that voice. It tugs at my heart so hard, I almost drop the man - Nick's drink. Her voice is thickly but in an attractive way. It's a quiet, gentle voice; A sexually attractive in a slightly mysterious way. It's a clear, light, and pleasant voice; A kind of voice that is controlled and pleasant to listen to, even if she is just ordering a caramel latte with a shot of mocha, and one of those labyrinthine cream hearts that sits on top of the coffee in the center of the cup, and gets caught on your upper lip.
Her words, not mine, I swear it.
As soon as I hear that voice, I pause what I'm doing to see who's ordering so I can - in a not stalker-ish way - watch her. I spot her and my heart instantly aches even worse. She has rich auburn blond hair that reminds me of the red color you see when you're served a hot tamale. Her skin is fair but is flushed from the cool, crisp early autumn air outside, and her nose scrunches up in the most adorable way as she digs in her change pouch for the exact change she needs to pay. If it were anyone else, the person behind her would be pissed that she's taking forever. This guy knows better than to be pissed at a girl like her. She's too incredible to be pissed at. Her eyes are electric blue with a circle around her pupil that seems to be a mix of a russet brown, jade green, and cognac brown.
She's short, maybe I just think that because I'm really tall - 6'6" last I checked - and that makes most people seem really short. The girl has an hourglass figure to her body, and that's my favorite figure for girls to have. I don't really know why I guess I've just liked it for as long as I can remember. The girl looks up and pushes her gray beanie back a bit on her head, and she smiles at my coworker, Marija. I notice now that she has a real beauty mark near her lips, just like Marilyn Monroe did. It's gorgeous. She's gorgeous. This feeling I'm feeling is gorgeous.
"Alright, what's your name?" Marija asks this incredible girl who is truly a gift from God and Heaven above.
"Sailor," the girl smiles politely, and I can't help but notice the way her tongue pokes out between her teeth when she smiles.
"That's a unique name. Is it your actual name?" Marija asks.
Sailor nods. "For as long as I can remember it has been," and then she moves away from the ordering space and goes to the area where you pick up your drink from Claus, which I made and then gave to him, for you to receive and to drink here. As she passes by, she looks up at me. I look down. I have short, medium-natural blond hair with bangs that cover my left eye. I hide behind that bang in the attempts to hide my blush from her as she passes. When I look back up, I can't tell if she saw the strawberry tint to my cheeks. If she did, did she think it just came from the heat in the coffee shop? Did she not know she was the cause of it? That just looking at me caused that blush? Is it a bad thing if she saw? Is it a good thing?
