Five years later…
I was dying on the inside. Here I was putting my daughter in the casket because my mans guilty conscience got to him, I begged him to slow down, I begged him to let me drive and that’s when he put his hands on me for the first time. Smacked the shit out of me and dragged me to the car. He swore I was trying to fuck on his friend. He was doing 85 on the freeway and lost control I got my daughter and I out but it was too late she was dead off impact. My angel was gone.
I had Lucifer next to me and I was crying silently. I was looking my baby sitting there in her pink dress. She had her blanket that she took everywhere looking so beautiful. Nobody was allowed to touch her or go up to the casket. Boom put his arm around me.
”shit ma I’m sorry this is happening to you. I got you baby girl.” He said running his fingers through my hair like I liked. I just buried my mom last year and here I was burring my child.
”I can’t believe she’s gone my baby is gone.” I said covering my face.
”Gypsy.” Looked up and it was Lucas. I went to grab him but Boom held me tight.
”You got the nerve to be here and you’re the reason she in that box. I told you to slow down.” I said and the first time he has ever seen me cry. He dropped down to his knees in front of me.
”I know ma I’m sorry shit is eating at me.” He said and he did look like shit I leaned in.
”Good I hope it eats at you for the rest of your life.” I said and leaned back pushing Lucifer off of me I ain’t like his ass either right now. Lucifer kept his distance but he still managed to always be there even when you didn’t want him to be.
After my babies funeral I was laying in my bed and Lucifer was still here. I don’t even get why he’s here like he fuckin for real. Five years ago Korina dipped on him and her son and it was pitiful. She was out there living life with somebody like she didn’t have a child and it was sad as fuck.
”Lucifer just go home to your son.” I said not looking at him.
”I’m good my brother has him. I’m here for the night. I got you Gypse.” He said.
”Right.” I said rolling my eyes.
”Done start your shit man. I’m trying to be here as your friend. Shit you think watching you be with somebody else has been easy?” He asked and I sat up.
”Hurts don’t it? Watching somebody touch something you wish was under your finger tips.” I laughed. He just looked down. “I’m leaving in the morning I got a sister and I’m trying to explore that option.”
”Your leaving me?” He asked.
”I’m not leaving you. I’m leaving these bad memories.” I said. He grabbed my face and he kissed me.
”I love you ma.” He said.
”I love you too poppa.”
