"Just shut the hell up. Trying to kill Gyeongsu wasn't enough for you isn't it? You still want to create a ruckus to all this shits," Soyeon said, her eyes piercing through Nayeon. Hearing the soft scoff from Nayeon, she glared at Soyeon.
"Wipe yourself with it if you're so confident," Namra coldly responded, pushing Soyeon behind her to not get her involve.
"Like his blood is clean. He is a fucking welfie," Nayeon screamed. But Namra's eyes hinted something, a threaten to get Nayeon to admit to her mistakes, to kick her out of the place. Nayeon read the situation, picking up the handkerchief, having it hovering above her freshly cut wound. "Damn it! It wasn't me!"
Ms Park reacted faster than anyone, grabbing it and throwing it away to one side. "Don't do it." That's what Ms Park said and the only sentence she said. She was begging Nayeon.
"Leave me alone! Fuck! I should just die too then, huh? That's what you want, isn't it? Why is Gyeong-su better than me? That dirty welfie pushed me," She sobbed. Her hands trembled as she looked at her old allies.
"So you did try to do it? Why the fuck would you!" Cheongsan screamed in anger, pushing Nayeon in rage.
"Stop ganging up on me. When I said he smelled, you all laughed. You all made fun of him too. Don't try to act innocent now," Nayeon screamed in psycho. Soyeon flinched as she heard her pleads, cries and blames.
"You are a murderer," Cheongsan said through his gritted teeth. Everyone's eyes fell at Nayeon, different emotions conveyed through.
"I… I have no friends at all. I don't need any of you. Fuck you," Nayeon screamed one last time, tears falling down as her tiny sobs and hiccups could be hinted in her speech. Opening the door, she took 3 steps and slammed the door. Screams could be heard to stop her, to urge her to get back into the safer zone.
" Listen… No matter what happens, you stay alive. Also, you must never take a life. If you cause someone else to die, life becomes completely meaningless. All right?" Ms Park said as she looked at the class one last time, sending a smile to them. To her, it was her last time seeing them alive. To them, it was their last time seeing their homeroom teacher and her smile.
Soyeon pushed through trying to reach for Ms Park but who knew she was too late, the door was closed and the teacher was gone. Their second parent is gone, to sacrifice her live for another student.
"Ms Park!" Soyeon screamed as she could hear at the background Jimin and Hyoryeong's sobs and cries. Wujin held onto Soyeon as she banged the door continuously, gaining attention of the zombies.
"Yeon-ah," Wujin whispered. Her heart suddenly fluttered even during the heartbreaking moment. Butterflies slowly formed and without her knowing, she was brought next to Namra who was seating down next to Suhyeok.
"I didn't hear anything at all. I just couldn't hear anything," Jimin said as she kept fiddling her vest.
"Like what?" Dae su questioned.
"I mean, after Nayeon went out and then Miss Park went after her. Miss Park! Miss Park! I didn't hear anything after that," Jimin told them, everyone shared a look.
"No screaming... Do you think they are alive?" Isak questioned as she continued on to look at the door, hoping it would open and reveal Ms Park.
"Maybe they didn't die, then. They wouldn't have been quiet if zombies were biting them. They must be alive," Cheongsan concluded.
All the chatters were falling into just soft echoes. She was tired. She didn't want to deal with the shit anymore. "Soyeon, thank you. Really, for saving me from Nayeon. If it weren't for you, I would've been one of them by now."
Soyeon looked up seeing Gyeongsu looking at her. Nodding her head she looked back down, eyes closing. Soon all those growls, talkings turned into tiny soft lullabies to her, bringing her to sleep.
The natural light irritated her eyes as she looked at people crowding the table, painting and creating something. Silently groaning she looked at her, realising she was sleeping on Wujin's shoulder. Her face flushed with red as she got up, rubbing her head.
"Hey," Wujin whispered as he looked at her, "You were sleeping longer than anyone and it was peaceful so I sat here till you woke up which is now."
Soyeon silently nodded her head, looking away biting her lips. "Did you put this for me," Soyeon questioned as she look at her lap the jacket that she placed on the chair the previous night.
"It was cold and you were shivering the entire time while everyone was still awake," Wujin said as he moved closer to Soyeon, "As I was saying yesterday, I wanted to tell you something. Soyeon... I don't care who you previously dated or whatsoever, I-"
"Then don't say anything," Jimin loudly said. Wujin cursed under his breath as he looked at Soyeon whose attention shifted to the argument.
"I think the prez means we should think about anything else that we can do.. Right?" Suhyeok said, defending Namra.
"No."
"No?"
"We don't know anything at all. We need to know something before we can make plans," Namra said.
"What more do we need to know?"
"What Nam-ra means-" It was obvious Suhyeok's defending for Namra was decreasing and weaker to rebut Jimin.
"You don't know what she's saying, either. Are you saying we need to understand92Please respect copyright.PENANAr8ZA8hVXlQ
the situation in order to take action?" Jimin scoffed.
"Namra meant that we need to find a way to contact the outside world, staying here would make us die. Statistic shows that if we were to-"
"Ok, I get it. I get it. Fucking twins. So what do we need."
"A cellphone if we can retrieve it," Namra simply said.
"Obviously we don't."
"Teacher's office," Cheongsan said as he looked at everyone. Soyeon looked up and walked to the window, looking outside.
"The room is not far from here, just a few rooms away and one floor down," Soyeon said, "I'm in."
"NO!" Six of them shouted at the same time.
"This is a job for the guys," Suhyeok said.
"And you think I am allowing you to risk yourself," Wujin continued.
"And you are not the best person for the job, you get kind of clumsy," Namra continued.
"Being my saviour not equals to dying," Gyeongsu continued on.
"You need to protect the girls, the only one who knows self defence," Isak said.
"We're not losing another person," Onjo said, "One is enough."
She blinked at them, being pulled by Wujin away from the window. "Stay away from the window." She cursed under her breathe as she heard their protectiveness. They took forever to decide who should go.
"If I can't make it, I'll just come back, you know?" Cheongsan said as he kept on assuring Onjo. Soyeon looked around, sighing as she looked at Cheongsan climbing out of the window.
She stood next to Namra, holding her hands tightly, not wanting to let go. "Ah shit, I'm going," Suhyeok cursed as he climbed out the window without a warning. Shouts were made but no response came back to them.
"Bare-su has always been loyal to me," Daesu said as he got ready to climb out too.
"You're going too?" Wujin questioned, looking at Daesu like he just said a joke.
"Yeah, I'm going."
"Stop. Come on. Get down."
"Why?"
"You can't go out there at your size, fatso," Wujin joked before shouting in pain from the kick that Soyeon send him.
"My size?"
Soyeon repeatedly kept kicking Wujin's leg, smacking his shoulder, torturing him from joking about Daesu. "Yah, Wujin, you want to continue saying that to Daesu?" Shaking his head again and again, he practically prayed to her, begging her to let him off.
Reality hit them when they saw Suhyeok climbing into the room and only him came back. "What do we do? Onjo and Cheongsan are really close."
"They are going out." Jimin continued to gossip with Hyoryeong, looking at Onjo who was constantly looking out of the window, trying to see if the familiar, foolish guy was back.
"I'm sure Cheongsan is fine. You know how fast he is," Suhyeok mumbled as he stood next to the girl.
"I don't know why he never listens. Ever since we were kids, he's just never listened to me. I told him not to go, but, of course, he did," Onjo cursed, unknowingly having tears welling up.
Soyeon could only stare at her before looking at Namra who was just looking at the two speaking. Wujin sighed out of boredom. He could only look at the girl who was just looking down at the floor, fiddling her skirt.
"Once we get out of here, let's go on a date. Screw the one I asked you yesterday. I want one that is official," Wujin said.
She could only look at him, her eyes blinking in an automatic manner. The background business seemed to be pushed away from her head and only focus on him.
"Soyeon, I lik-"
"It's Cheongsan!"
Once again, he could only mentally cursed. Seeing Soyeon standing up immediately and running to see the camera screen, he sighed. "Oh shit, It's really him."
"Cheongsan!"
"He can't hear you," Joonyeong said, focusing the drone once more.
"He's alive... Cheongsan is alive!" Suhyeok hugged Daesu and Gyeongsu, spinning around like a merry go round.
"What's he doing? Where's he going? Look this way! Over here! Where are you going, you stupid moron?" Daesu shouted at the screen.
"He can't hear you, Daesu!" Joonyeong shouted once more, nearly giving up hope.
"Be quiet, will you? You're so damn loud," Wujin hissed at Daesu, completely pissed at the disruption of what he wanted to say to Soyeon.
Soyeon slightly chuckled before looking out of the window. Isak followed, along with Onjo. "It's nice to be alive isn't it?"
"It feels guilty." Isak quietly looked at Soyeon who was having her eyes closed. Onjo nodded her head, holding onto Soyeon and Isak's hand, grabbing it tightly. "No one is to sacrifice themselves for anyone. Save but not sacrifice. I don't want to lose anyone anymore."
A sudden loud cry was heard and the moment they turned their heads, they saw Jimin crying on the floor, screaming in despair. Soyeon looked at Wujin who mouthed out, 'Her parents are dead. She witnessed it.'
Sympathy hit her as she diverted her attention at Jimin, sobbing and crying. Something struck inside her, thinking what happens if her mom is one of these creatures. How would she even feel?
Everyone thought the atmosphere had quietened down and was calmed. Who knew Jimin started to climb onto the window, ready to pitch herself off. "I want to die! Leave me alone!"
That was all she said. She repeated that again and again, pleading people to let her go and be with her parents. "My mom and dad died. What am I supposed to do alone?"
"Why would you die, you idiot?" Onjo looked at the girl whose face was puffy and filled with redness.
"What's the use in living? I have nobody. I don't have a mom or a dad. I have nowhere to go and no one waiting for me. No one to scold me or praise me. Do you know what that's like?" Jimin glared at Onjo who was at loss.
"No-"
"Then don't act like you know everything. Don't tell me what to do. You don't know what it's like being me."
"No-"
"Exactly. So just leave me alone." Soyeon looked up before walking up to her, slapping her cheeks.
"Have you woken up? Are you done thrashing?" She coldly said, her eyes piercing through Jimin's skin. "Yea, no one knows what it's like being you. But be grateful that you saw your parents even after they died. Some don't even have a chance to see. We all have parents who might have turned into these creatures, it's not just you. So wake up. It's time to survive."
"Let's get out of here. It doesn't feel right to me." Jimin finally said after a moment of silence.
After a long time, Namra finally said something, grabbing the map of the entire school from one corner and laying it on the table, grabbing a pen and circling the rooms.
"This is where we are. This is where Cheongsan is. If we turn our music only on this speaker, the zombies will go left. Then we'll take the stairs on the right, get Cheong-san, and go to the roof using the center stairs. But why the roof? Choppers keep flying around. If we light a roof fire, they might come save us."
Soyeon silently smiled as she saw Namra taking charge of the situation as they all crowd around the table, discussing. She took a step back, taking a piece of bandage from the first aid and wrapping it around her knuckles. Grabbing the broom stick that had zombie blood, she wiped it before breaking it into two.
Passing it to Wujin who looked at her cluelessly as everyone went into the broadcasting room, she smiled. "That helps with killing the zombies, aim for the head and neck."
"How do you know though," He mumbled.
"Suhyeok taught me for self defence," Soyeon quietly said.
"I prefer this you. The violent, cold person instead of the soft, quiet person," Wujin said as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She blinked her eyes as she felt his touch. They were away from the others, near the corner.
She backed away slowly as he slowly walked closer to her, her back ending up touching the back. She looked at Wujin who was already staring at her. His eyes did it, looking at her eyes, her lips then back to her eyes once more.
Her heart fluttered as she felt butterflies forming up in her stomach. "What are-" His lips were on hers. It felt as though it was meant to be there, connected together. Lightly gripping her waist, her hand gripped his biceps as he deepened it.
"Took them long enough... A popcorn would be nice though," Suhyeok said.
"How long will they do this?" Daesu questioned.
"Let Wujin have a feast first," Gyeongsu continued. Namra's eyes widen as she stared at Gyeongsu.
"Yea, that's enough. We don't need free shows," Namra muttered as she opened the door, despite everyone's protest. "You guys done? Wujin, get away from my sister."
They looked Namra, seeing the whole lot just staring at them. Soyeon bit her lips, cheeks flushed with a faint red blush on as Wujin stood close to her, scratching his head as he sense the awkward situation.
"Let's go?" Gyeongsu looked at them, hand movements trying to indicate that it is about time they start getting back on track. Namra let out a sigh before giving one last glare towards Wujin before heading to get a CD track. And before she knew it, Wujin had already wrapped his hands around hers tightly, not letting it go.92Please respect copyright.PENANAQlq5J4QOHd
