This contest is about taking two of the most polar opposite themes and mashing them together. In this case sci-fi with such works as Starship Troopers, Bladerunner. The other theme is high fantasy with elves, goblins, ect. You can make it fanfiction, if you want. I'd say keep it under 2000 word, but going a little over is ok, as well.
