"He died that day because his body had served its purpose. His soul had done what it came to do, learned what it came to learn, and then was free to leave." -Garth Stein

Arthur Roscow's diary follows his junior and senior years of high school with his best friend, Ayden Holmon, who had been recently diagnosed with stage-four Glioblastoma (brain cancer) with only ten months to live. It's uncurable, and so is the temporary time they have together. Both boys go through their final journey together, one filled with love and the other being acceptance for the end. Though Ayden passed away, he had not to Arthur.

"I will love you in this life and the next. And even when the stars burn out and the skies fall silent, my heart will still beat for you, in whatever way it can." -Unknown

--------- Why I wrote this;

At the age of twelve, my mother passed away from Glioblastoma, and it has affected me very deeply and made me feel more for others. I've always felt like people have needed to learn that death is not a bad thing. It's just the next part of the cycle of life. Everyone has a beginning and an end, and both are beautiful.

(If you are going to contact me through Penana about this story, please say at the end, "Sayonara.")
