Appearance:
Kelda has thick, straight, espresso-brown hair in a blue bob that reaches to her jawline. Her bob is sleek and geometric, which is very tidy and polished. It has no layers, no textures- just a clean, sharp edge. However, beneath all that, something is hidden. At the nape of her neck is a small undercut of what appears to be a small bird. Only she knows it's there, and only her family sees it when she pulls her hair up or when Dezi tugs at her neck. Lastly, her hazel-green eyes are constantly observing her surroundings for her next adventure or project.
Spring/Summer Outfit:
Kelda wears a simple cotton t-shirt in a warm, faded terracotta with a small chest pocket. It's slightly too big for her, but in the most comfortable way. Then she wears lightweight canvas pants in a soft brown that are usually rolled just below her knees when it's warm, but rolled down for sun protection or very chilly evenings. The pants have multiple pockets- one deep one on her side, a small one on her thigh where she puts her pencil if small enough, if not, then in the one on her side, and finally two in the front and two on the back. Lastly, she wears faded navy canvas sneakers, though these usually don't last long as she travels almost every day.
On colder days, she wears a soft, faded denim jacket in a worn medium blue that is very big on her. She tends to roll up her sleeves multiple times to keep them up. The collar is soft, and there's a small faded stain on one of the pockets that she didn't even know how or what it was. She always leaves it unbuttoned. Next, she has a small but worn canvas pouch with dirt stains, though you can hardly see them with its simple drawstring closure. She wears it as a crossbody, making it rest against her hip. She puts things she collects in her, especially if she finds a lost item, so she can give it to Dezi. Next, she wears a frayed, dusty-blue velvet ribbon around her right wrist so she can pull back her bob when she needs to. Just like Dezi, she also keeps a sketchbook with her. The sketchbook is small enough to fit in her back pocket, with its cover bent at the corners and a bit battered. She leaves a short pencil on its spine, so she can do quick sketches of what she has observed. Finally, she wears a wide, soft leather wrist wrap that's won on her left wrist. The leather has since faded to warm brown, and the edges are slightly rounded. It wraps around her wrist once and closes with a simple, aged brass buckle that can be closed easily with one hand. In that wrap, there is a secret lining where she keeps a small, folded-up piece of paper with her mother's drawing on it, given to her by her father. She never takes it out.
Autumn/Winter Outfit:
Kelda wears a soft ribbed turtleneck in a deep forest green on colder days, and a thin, soft thermal in a creamy brown color. Over it is a thick, slightly oversized wooled sweater in a warm cream or oatmeal color. Just like Dezi or most of her siblings, it was hand-knitted by her mother. The knit was uneven with simple cables running down its collar, slightly stretched, and its cuffs frayed. Next, she wore some durable winter jeans in a deep green with reinforced knees and multiple pockets. However, the knees have been patched quite a bit over the years, making them seem artistic like the wear herself. Kelda wears thick grey wool socks made by her mother. Finally, she wears sturdy but waterproof leather winter boots, well-maintained with warm lining and thick treads for snow and ice. The lace has been replaced multiple times, to the point where both shoes have different-colored laces. She makes sure to oiled mas much as she can.
During winter, she would wear a slightly puffy parka jacket in a faded navy blue with a warm hood lined with soft fleece. It's very warm and has sooo many deep pockets. She has ones on the outside, zippered ones inside, and a small one on the sleeve. Next is her long wool scarf, striped in burgundy and slate, with a thin layer of gold that her father has made for her. Just like Dezi, she has it wrapped around her neck multiple times, either tucked in or just letting the ends fly. Though more often than not, she has them tucked in. Kelda has a simple, slouchy beanie in a warm burgundy that kinda matches her scarf. On it is a small pom-pom, a tiny pin she made, and her favorite ribbon, sewn into it. Then she wears a pair of convertible forest-green wool gloves with a tiny, hidden bird pattern on the wrist. Next is another treasure pouch, but a winter version as it's slightly larger and worn crossbody under or over her coat, depending on the day. Personality:
Kelda is a very polite, childish, and creative child. As a polite child, Kelda would never talk back, tell off anyone that’s older than her, and always make sure she minds her manners. Though this is true of every southern state as well, Kelda takes her politeness to extremes, and it might be a bit much for others. This also includes being very polite to the enemy in every way, though they have no reason to be given such treatment. Kelda has always loved festivals, which fuels the child inside her. Though it's not a fact, Tennessee, the state she represents, has quite a few festivals. From music to art to even the state fair. They have it all. Another reason for her to give to her inner child is by exploring. Her love for exploration often takes her to new places, where she can interact with different people and experience unique cultures. This adventurous spirit complements her polite nature, as she approaches every new encounter with curiosity and respect, even in unfamiliar or challenging situations. This also includes caves and similar small places, but she understands that some caves can’t be explored. Kelda has always been a creative soul. She learns different types of instruments, painting techniques, and even cooking recipes. The instruments she plays are the ones used in the blues, country, and rock n’ roll. This, of course, makes her more versatile in instruments than even most, if not all, of her siblings. Her paintings are more of an outlet for her to express how she feels on a given topic to others. From her explorations, meeting new people, or even the situation she had just faced. She will paint it all. Finally, her cooking does shine through even among her siblings. She isn’t the best cook, as she likes to experiment, which can cause some kind of devastation in the kitchen.

Raccoon (State Mammal)
Kelda has small light grey ears with white tips and a light grey tail with 5 black rings. Kelda's sense of touch is very high. It's so high, she can tell what's what with just a single touch. This ends up being a game between her and her siblings as they try to bring quite a few things to see if Kelda could identify them. She also has an easier time seeing in twilight, but her vision isn't the best at long distances. However, her sense of smell makes up for this as it's quite strong. She is also a very capable climber. Kelda will growl, hiss, and snarl at others whom she deems as a threat, even if they haven't done anything warrant that. She also can't swim and refused to learn whatsoever. One more thing: Kelda goes around marking her family, which is just to rub her face on their chest or hair.
Kelda isn't picky with her food. She'll eat anything and everything, even things that are not edible, which causes panic in both Sterling and Liberty. She has a habit of washing her food, even going so far as to wash spaghetti if not watched. Kelda tends to overeat during Spring and Summer as a way to 'prepare' for winter. This is because she gets really sleepy during this time and will barely eat. Sterling, Liberty, Dixie, and even Beau had to force her to eat during this time while also stopping her from overeating.
Northern Mockingbird (State Bird)
Kelda has long wings that are gray on top but turn black with white tips, and her long tail is similar, with white underneath instead of at the ends. She could manipulate her own voice, making it sound like someone else or just random sounds from explosions to even animals. Because she can manipulate her voice, she is the second-best singer among her siblings with the same bird. Kelda has a wide, low-set pair of blueish-black ears, with the blueish-black extending along part of the tail that's connected to her body, while the rest are white. She is very athletic as she loves to run, dance, and do gymnastics; however, she can't swim. She loves to solve problems and will go out of her way to solve problems for her siblings and children, though she shouldn't. She also has a very good sense of smell, which can get her into quite a bit of trouble if she's not careful. Kelda is also very mindful of her family's well-being, especially her parents'.
