I haven't written an entry to this competition until now because there were just so many things I wanted to talk about. Like abortion, women's rights, etc.
But I think I'll show you why you should become a feminist.
People like Andrew Tate often preach to young men about how girls are made to cook for their husband and children, and how they don't need an education and they need to please their husbands. The guy has daughters and still says that.

Anyway, feminism is extremely important. As young women in a modern society, we often come across older men who tend to be racist, homophobic and sexist. The satanic trinity. They often make comments that undermine women, like 'Oh, being a lawyer isn't for women' or 'Oh, shouldn't you be a stay-at-home mom?'
No, mate. I don't.
Not that I don't respect stay-at-home moms, but who are you to tell me that I need to be a stay-at-home mom? Even if you're my dad or my brother, I would just cut you off. And it's not just your family, if that's what you're thinking. The gender pay gap is at 20% worldwide, according to the Focus 2030 website. This translates to on average men being payed 20% more than women. This is enormous. And for the same exact job.
Why would a man necessarily be a better author than a woman, for example?
I love Harry Potter and Percy Jackson equally. Harry Potter was written by J.K. Rowling, who is a woman. Percy Jackson was written by Rick Riordan, who is a man. Overall, J.K. Rowling has the better authorial style, which makes her a more sophisticated writer (though I still love Percy Jackson).
This example proves that women can even be better at things than men. So why are many societies still discriminating women just because they weren't born with a penis in between their legs?
Women are humans, just like men. Did you know that there are more women than there are men on Earth? Exactly. This is double the discrimination, because why would a minority still have advantages over the majority of people?
Some young women are influenced by what their mothers tell them. Some mothers are still conservative, following the policy that girls should not work and should try to find a husband as soon as possible. Why? For example, if I had a brother who was academically less smart than me, I would hate it if he would be sent to university while I had to pop out child after child. This may be a choice for some women, and I completely respect that, however I am smart. I want a job, and I want to be independent.
