家庭主妇欧菲掉进了兔子洞，因此进入梦空间，她从未想过自己也有这样的一天，她紧张地在布满污渍的围裙上擦擦粗糙的手，腆着微微堆起的肚腩走过树干做成的通道，来到了茶会。

多么高贵而有趣的茶会！欧菲简直想要鼓掌，浮在空中的茶盏飞过来为她倒茶，一碟碟点心规则地排列着，欧菲想要拿一个起来吃，又怕四下无人，自己的伸手破坏了某位太太在吃之前一定要请人拍一张照片的甜点造型，只好一边等着，一边咂着红茶。红茶喝下去一半，伴随着一阵烟雾，好在没有饭菜烧糊或是呛人的烟草味，对面的座椅上凭空出现一个人。那一定是疯帽匠，虽然他的帽子并不像传言中那般高，而是穿得像审判官，戴着军帽，宽肩制服，制服前面敞开，露出上半身穿着的硬甲，显得非常魁梧。
