Sometimes it comes over me, the sense of meaninglessness of our lives. It comes so deeply, profoundly that I can’t resist feeling it, embracing it, letting it sink into the deepest part of me. And I cry—I always cry in those moments. It isn’t sadness, nor pain, nor anything we can name in words. It is just emotion, the raw feeling. Afterwards, I see the world in the eye of indifference. Strangely enough, I find comfort in it, in my meaningless life, in this meaningless world.
