Lora would turn her head to see her husband's face impaled by a large metal rod.

~GASP~

Lora awoke in a cold sweat, realizing it was just a dream. She’d suffer the same torture dream almost every night. The image of her dead spouse burned into her mind.

In the morning Lora would begin to do her normal morning routine, go for a morning jog, take a shower, and make herself breakfast. Once finished, she’d open her laptop and do what she always did at this time. Investigate her husband's murder. Trying to figure out who was the monster that killed him. Over the last three years, Lora has made many breakthroughs, only to end up with nothing.

Lora was a well known 28 year old, with a good job and a nice house. Lora used to have a loving husband named Jason and an unborn child in her womb. But one night, in the late spring a person that escaped the Psych ward a few blocks down had broken into the house. Her husband had gotten a handgun and fought off the person. The person fled the house. He won, but at a cost.

He had been stabbed. On the ground of their shared bedroom, Lora held Jason in her arms while trying to keep pressure on the wound as they waited for an ambulance. But he had bled out long before anyone could arrive. A few weeks later, Lora had a miscarriage.

Now in the present day, Lora had gotten better, but she still wasn’t ok. Then…one night…she had a truly good dream. She and her husband were having a picnic under some cherry blossom trees, an annual thing he and her used to do every year.

The next day, she woke up and went to work. But no one acknowledged her existence. Even as she tried to interact with her coworkers, none of them said anything back, they didn't even look at her.

When she had gotten home the lights were on in her house despite her turning them off before leaving. She entered the house quietly, and went into the kitchen…

only to find her supposedly dead husband making himself dinner. She’d run to him…

but would pass right through him like he was nothing but air…

he wouldn’t look at her as she did nor would he flinch. He acted as if she wasn’t there…

what was wrong?...

She’d leave the kitchen. The house seemed different…lots of her things were gone…then she saw it…

a shrine for the dead…

with her photo…

she was dead? Then she realized what was happening…that night…the person that had broken in…

had stabbed her…

not Jason…

She had laid in Jason’s arms as he tried to keep pressure on her wound, not Jason.

She had bled out before help could arrive

Not Jason

For the last three years, she had been stuck in her head, replaying a fake scenario over and over again. Till finally…she escaped…now as an unseeable ghost in the mortal word

well...

Then if she’s here, then at least she’s here with her husband…

and she’ll wait until he passes on as well…

so they can pass onto the next world….

Together...

As he always said....'Till Death Do Us Part'
