1965年隨著蘇聯最新型人型機甲的出世東西歐各國都陷入了無法抗衡蘇聯機甲的危機中，因此所有歐洲國家發起了「歐洲聯合開發計畫」。然而除了增進機甲優勢外，一場由美國發起的諜報行動也默默展開而其目的便是消滅蘇聯的新型機甲。

名為漢斯．鴻．霍夫曼的德裔美國特務受命秘密前往蘇維埃社會主義共和國聯盟並與「鐵狼團」合作破壞新型步戰機。然而這場行動早已被蘇聯特務機構NKVD得知，一場為了祖國和鮮血的戰爭也將在這塊被迫佔領的領土中展開。
