As the creatures closed in, Emily pulled out a small can of pepper spray. "This is going to be a long night."
She sprayed the creatures, momentarily blinding them. "You know, for monstrous abominations, you're surprisingly susceptible to pepper spray."
Emily dragged the freed figure out of the room, navigating through the asylum's labyrinthine corridors.
They stumbled upon a door hidden behind a tattered curtain. Emily pushed it open, revealing a room filled with ancient artifacts.
The figure gasped. "This is the ritual chamber."
Emily's eyes scanned the room. "Finally, something interesting."
A dark, pulsing portal dominated the center of the room. Emily approached, intrigued.
The figure grabbed her arm. "Don't go near it! It's the gateway to—"
Emily shook them off. "Oh, spare me the dramatics."
She stepped through the portal, and the world around her dissolved into chaos.
Emily found herself in a realm of eternal darkness, surrounded by twisted, eldritch horrors.
Her expression remained unimpressed. "This is just a typical Tuesday."
A massive, tentacled creature emerged from the shadows.
Emily pulled out her phone. "Can someone please tell me where the nearest Starbucks is? This place needs some serious caffeine."
The creature lunged, its jaws open wide.
Emily sighed. "Not this again."
As the creature's teeth closed around her, Emily muttered, "I'm going to need a raise."
