有趣的冷知識：

負子蟾（Surinam toad，又稱蘇利南蟾）保護卵的方式十分獨特。交配後，雄性會把受精卵壓入雌性背部皮膚形成的小囊（蜂巢狀口袋）中，皮膚隨後會腫脹並將卵完全包覆。卵在這些小窩內安全發育約3–5個月，直接孵化成完整的小蟾蜍再從背部破出，大幅提高幼體的存活率。
