攝影師Scott Gardner曾在1992年拍攝過一隻罕見的畸形青蛙，該青蛙疑似因為大突變(Macromutation)或是寄生蟲感染，導致其眼睛長在口腔中的上顎位置。網絡上也流傳著很多同樣眼睛長在口中的畸形青蛙圖片，但真實性存疑。
