The library sounded hollow, for years and years it stood empty. Books full of stories, adventures and tears all remain unnoticed. The stories grew dull. Dull and soft, not able to cut through the silence. And still, after such a long time a pair of curious eyes skimmed through the dimly lit library. A giggle, so soft you would have missed it if you breathed the other way. Another pair of eyes peeked into the shimmers of the library. The excited whispers soon followed. Softly, but quickly rambling about all the fun in there. And as soon as the whispers followed the library sighed. After all, it had been years since the excited whispers had followed the stories. The walls that once stood so full, and felt so warm to the touch, are now cold and dark. And yet all it took were a few small whispers to brighten it. The walls, not so cold anymore nor dark. They were shining in the shadows. For all the stories in the walls were sparked back to life. A love, a friendship, a tear or a longing. Books that had become statues, began moving again. So fluidly, like they had never stopped. In and out. Day and night. Never-ending, for creativity lighting the room around itself. No lights were needed, as long as pages were turned, stories travelling further. Sailing across the room, the house, the street back to its own home.
