Groaning, Jennifer rolled around in her bed as she reached for her phone to deactivate her alarm. It was the most annoying sound she had ever heard.
Seriously, why would they have an alarm that sounds like an old school alarm clock as the default tone? It is as if they lack any sort of innovation.
The teenager shoved off her covers and glanced groggily at the digital clock on the side of her stand. It shown 7:01 AM in bright purple letters. She sure as hell wasn't looking forward to the day. First off, she had to drop her younger brother Austin off at his middle school before she had to head to the college to take her psychology exam. Even after that, she had to deal with volleyball practice.
I wish it was Friday already.
Jen wearily threw on her volleyball attire and left her room to check on Austin. Hopefully, that lazy bum wasn't still asleep in his bed like a hibernating bear cub. Seeing his door closed didn't stop the college girl from forcing it open and stalking over to boy's bed, shaking him wildly.
"Austin. The house is on fire! Get your ass out of bed!"
Startled, the boy shot up with a petrified look playing on his face. "What? Really?"
"Nah, I was just playing with you." She chuckled as she playfully swatted his arm."If this place was on fire, then you'd be dead by now."
"That was really malevolent of you." The boy pouted and crossed his arms.
"Since when did you start using scholarly words?" Jen cocked her head to the side. "You are only in the eighth grade after all. Besides, I needed you to get your lazy butt up. I swear you sleep like a log even through a hurricane."
Austin sighed. "I really don't want to go to school today."
"You have no choice, Butch." Jenny smirked. " You have a quiz today in English. It's a Tuesday in case you forgot." She punctuated her statement by flicking the brunet boy on his forehead.
"Oww!" Austin rose and headed to his closet to choose his choice of clothing. "Don't call me Butch ever again."
"Yeah, whatever." Jenny rolled her eyes as she left. " Hurry up or I'll feed your breakfast to Rocky."

It wasn't long until Jennifer arrived at Haddonfield College where she rendezvoused with her childhood friend Amy. Amy Lee and Jennifer Singleton had met in the first grade and ever since their first encounter, they remained friends until now.
"What took you so long?"
Jenny glanced up to see her best friend, dressed in the same black volleyball uniform with the words Haddonfield College Boogeys plastered in a sharp orange color on the front, arrive to greet her. They had arrived in the Carpenter Plaza where they found a bench that wasn't occupied by boys with their headphones, couples snuggling, or even studious students hogging it with their supplies.
"Heya Jenny, ready for practice tonight?"
"I suppose so." The girl sighed. "Although I need to brave a Psychology exam first."
"Is this for Harris's class?" Amy trotted alongside her friend, clutching a Sociology book to her chest.
"Ugh! Yes!" Jenny moaned. "He is the most monotonous professor ever! Like he doesn't seem to give a rat's rear about the students. He has nothing better to do than to maltreat us for his own pleasure."
"Oh, I heard." Amy looked concerned as she put a hand hand on her friend's shoulder. "Well, up for milkshakes at Johnny's after practice?"
"I wish I could join, but I need to drop off Austin and his friend Jackson off at the movies later. They have to attend a party for a brat in their class."
Amy frowned a bit as she ran a hand through her smooth raven hair. "Can't they walk? I mean, they should possess a good sense of direction. This town isn't really that large."
"Mom just suggested it." Jenny shrugged. Her eyes wandered the vicinity which was crowded with students traversing to their classes or settling down near the white marble benches. Some even had picnics on the green grass that lay on the other side of the small brick barrier that separated the plaza from the main walkway. The bustling students shouldn't have been a surprise as the weather was fair today with only a hint of clouds.
"Hey, who is he?"
Startled from her brief trance, Jenny looked where Amy pointed her finger. Her eyes landed on a young man with unkempt chestnut hair to his shoulders standing by the edge of the Administration building, his eyes deep into a book. The brunette girl's eyes grew wide with recognition as she recalled him as the boy in her psychology class. Like her, he was also one of the few Psych majors in the class. However, something about his reserved and quiet demeanor seemed off to her.
Jenny shrugged."Oh! He is just that guy in my Psychology class who sits in the back and keeps to himself. He is no one special."
"Really?" Amy blinked her dark eyes. "He seems like someone that would be fun to have around at parties. I mean, look at that outdated hairstyle. It looks like he is trying out for a spot on the Grease play or something."
"I guess." Jenny stood up. "I need to meet with Jamie before I head to my class. Want to tag along?"
Amy smirked as she rose slowly. "You know I always need an excuse not to head to Bloomberg's class. Count me in. "

Pavlov's dog, eh? This should be interesting, especially with an exam on this source of material.
The white marble of the Administration building felt really cool against Billy's back as he studied for his Psychology exam. For him, the material came to him like an old friend which ended up boring him in class. Fortunately, there were some topics like Pavlov's dog that captured his fascination.
Once I get this exam out of the way, perhaps I can stop by the coffee shop. They should have holiday specials by now. It is the 30th of September after all.
The month of October being around the corner intrigued him while at the same time, a feeling of anxiousness started to settle in his stomach. He should be on the lookout as the Shape is normally active around this month. No way could he let his guard down. He had a sole purpose of being in this city which was to end the boogeyman once it was confirmed he was still active. Despite what the others had informed him, Billy still had doubts that Michael was gone for good. A secondary objective was to get to the bottom of the mystery which was his father's disappearance.
Oh, that's the girl from my class.
He had glanced up from his book to see his classmate, her name slipped his mind, walk with her friend, a tall and fit-looking girl of Asian descent, to meet another girl where the concrete paths bisected by the grass. As the three chatted, Billy peered closer and noticed that their contact, a dark-haired woman possessing pale skin that shone brightly in the sunlight, stood between the two college girls, chatting and laughing. Something about her looked vaguely familiar. Had he seen her somewhere before? His eyes then grew twice their normal size as it dawned on him.

Back again with another update. Who is this girl that captures Billy's attention? Also, hope you didn't mind the POV switch. Just wanted to introduce a couple new characters that will be a part of the story. It will return to Billy next time.
