As I look into the mirror, I don’t see what everyone else does.

I don’t see a happy, kind-eyed, hopeful man like everyone else.

I see a man who has never experienced love.

A man who has never felt compassion.

He’s just an empty shell of the man he was supposed to be.

Recently, sadness has become my friend.
