tThe Joker aimed the deadly looking ray at Batman’s back, while Harley Quinn distracted him, by the time Batman turned, it was too late. The Joker pressed the button, sending a blue beam directly at him, hitting him squarely in the chest. Batman is thrown into a wall, crumpling into a heap, covered by his black cloak. The Joker approaches him, his face-splitting smile even bigger than usual. Finally! After all this time, he had defeated Batman, his nemesis! He reaches out and yanks the cloak away, only to reveal Batman’s empty suit, in a pile on the ground, Batman nowhere to be seen. Joker scoffs, “He got away! Again!” He turns to walk away, outraged and determined to find someone to kill. He smashes a nearby pillar, causing it to crumble and crash to the ground. As Joker’s crew begins to clear out, they hear a cry. A cry like that of a baby. Joker freezes, his anger subsiding, because even monsters like the Joker respond to the cry of an innocent. The entire band of criminals freezes at the silence of their leader, whose gaze is fixed on Batman’s suit, where the cry is emanating from. He stalks toward it slowly, his grin widening. He yanks the suit aside, revealing a small, frail child. He begins to laugh maniacally, picking up the child with surprising gentleness, instantly quieting the little boy. His minions stare at him as if he weren’t known for being insane. Harley is the first one to speak. “Puddin’, what is it?” The Joker turns to where they can all see the infant curled in his arms. Harley’s eyes grow wide, before she shrieks. “Eeeeeeeee! A baby! I’ve always wanted one!” she cartwheels over to the Joker, grabbing for the baby. Joker yanks it out of her grasp. “We aren’t keeping it!” he yells. “Don’t you know who this is? It’s Batman! Whoever I told to give me my death ray gave me the wrong one and we turned batman into a baby!” The band of criminals around all start laughing, “Look whose so tough now!” “Aw, itty bitty Batman!” they jeer. One reaches out to touch the baby, and the Joker shoots him between the eyes before anyone can realize what’s happening. The entire crowd goes silent as the henchman’s body falls to the ground, the noise starting Batman, causing him to cry. “Silence! I will dispose of Batman on my own.” Joker stalks off into the night, leaving his henchmen and Harley stunned, the only sound to be heard, being that of a baby’s cry.18Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡpeiRweO0K1
The Joker walks through the night, determined not to look at the child anymore. He creeps through Gotham, heading toward the bay, planning to get rid of Batman in the dirty, green water. Just throw him into the depths and never look back. Joker arrives at the bay, Batman, quiet at this point, and prepares to throw him in. He makes a mistake and looks into Batman’s eyes as he says farewell to his arch nemesis. “Well, it’s been good Bats, we’ve had a lot of good times together. Now, not that you can understand me, I win. I never figured me beating you being like this… but here we are… this is the end.” Joker holds Batman out over the water, preparing to drop him. Batman yawns and grabs Joker’s finger, falling asleep in his hands. The Joker lets go, glancing one last time at Batman's small sleeping form, a smile forming on his lips as he drops him into the water...only to jump in after him.
