A very big orange-eyed wolf with lion mane and lower body of a lion covered in black stripes stand before Obscura who was unfazed by what she saw in front of her and didn't drop her mad smile at all. Alice instantly jumped into nearby bush to hide with her head slightly peeking out, watching the scene unfold from behind cover.
"Oho...I never expected you brat to have this kind of power. Hah! Come at me if you dare...Boy!!! I am not afraid of you," Obscura taunted him with raspy demonic voice.
The hybrid beast walk slowly to her in calm manner which Obscura then start attacking it with curse projectile as it approaches her. None of the projectiles affect it and Obscura changes her tactic into summoning tendrils made of darkness to stop the beast from moving only for the beast to break free instantly from it and continue walking closer to her much to Obscura's annoyance. Obscura tried to directly consume it by summoning a giant monstrous mouth emerging from dimension hole she created and the mouth chomps on the beast, stopping it temporarily.
"If I can't harm you, I shall devour you myself," she thought as the mouth attempt to start chewing it.
In a short time, the mouth Obscura dimensionally summoned suddenly burst and left several of its skin fragments falling down while the beast remains intact and keep going.
"What!? How!?" Obscura shouted in confusion as her annoyance turn into a slight terror.
Smoke of darkness start leaking out from the beast's body as it suddenly dash to her and attempt to prey on her with a leap attack. Obscura instantly vanishes and appear in different location far from it, visibly scared under her annoyed face.
"This creature...! Phantasmgore!!" Obscura casts her aura onto the beast and turn the surrounding environment of the beast into total darkness.
Alice's eyes widens so wide from shock of what she just saw.
"What did she do to it just now!?" Alice said out loud.
Obscura hears a voice from far away and send another of her Phantasmgore to the location of the voice. The event catches Alice off guard and she was suddenly brought into a pitch black environment.
"What happened? Don't tell me—Ah!!!" Alice screamed as soon as she saw a scythe swung to her face and quickly dodge it by stepping to the side
"That was close. What was that just now!? That scythe appear out of nowhere! I can't see much, it's too dark in here," she said ,her eyes frantically look around for any incoming attack.
A clip-clopping sound heard from behind her and the sound gets louder. Alice's eyes turn at the source of sound and she turns to the back, gasping in disbelief at the sight of a reaper figure wielding a big war axe.
"This can't be real!" she thought and sees the figure swing its axe down at her.
The figure also disappears after Alice manage to dodge its attack though the entire event slowly give her a feeling of terror. Before she can calm herself down, a giant figure with multiple arms wielding a blade appears in front of her and has her trapped in an unavoidable attack. Being mentally exhausted, she no longer can say a word and prepare to use Barrier to block it only for the darkness to instantly dissipate and the illusion breaks, returning her perspective to reality. The beast broke the illusion when it caught Obscura between it's sharp teeth.
"You....!! How!? How could you pass through Phantasmgore illusion???" Obscura shouted in disbelief with an increasing high pitched voice at each of her questions.
When it attempts to bite her off, Obscura disappears before its teeth touch her and appear in different location far from them She is visibly trembling from anger over her humiliating defeat.
"Grrrr....AAAAAAAHHH!!! I WILL REMEMBER THIS! I WILL KILL YOU NEXT TIME, BOY!! YOU'RE DEAD! AAAAAHH!!!" Obscura screamed so loud in frustration.
The beast leap at her while she is distracted and she vanishes before it can touch her. Alice...still panting from mental exhaustion, stands up and look at the creature from afar.
"You.... Are you...is that you?" she whispered, attempting to approach.
The beast turn itself at her and Alice notices it's closed mouth changed into a very wide grin followed by a deep demonic laugh.
"Grrahahaha!! It is our first time seeing each other eye to an eye. Frail human..." A voice underneath the grinning teeth as it slowly approach her in a rather intimidating manner.
"You speak!? I thought...oh dear," Alice's expression dropped into frightened when she gets a bad feeling after observing its behavior.
Alice starts stepping back further from it and it attempt to chase her only for it to fall mid chase, its big body engulfed in black smog and shrinks down to reveal a familiar boy.
"Shaner!" Alice quickly runs and take a look at Shaner who is currently unconscious.
She puts her right palm on his forehead then put the back of her hand on the side of his neck to check for body temperature before leaning her fingers near his nose hole while putting her right ear closely to his chest for heartbeat listening.
"He's still alive, just unconscious. Goodness...I'm worried about you. Your Forbidden Force is quite the unstable entity," she said.
She tried to carry the boy on her back only for her struggling to even lift his body up.
"He's heavy. I need to carry him back to the village but I can barely lift his body up straight for me to lean his body over my back for me to carry," she commented as she tried as hard as she can to lift him up over her.
When she finally succeeds in leaning the boy over her back, she drag both him and herself back to the village with the boy's body weight reducing her movement speed to nearly crawling speed.
