A new semester begins after the Christmas break and it was soon time for students to report at their various institutions of education.
Pun picks up Fai and Toey with the red Mini Cooper his Uncle bought for him. And they cruised to the university listening pop music.
"I am redecorating my room," Fai said while applying lipstick.
Toey scowled.
"You are decorating your room again?"
"Yes, I am," Fai answered.
"Leave that poor room alone, you are always changing something every five minutes," Toey warned.
"I get tired and bored looking at the same thing all the time," Fai grumbled.
"I have you finished decorating," Pun spoke for the first time his hands firmly on the steering wheel.
"No, I am still looking for furniture pieces. I have ordered a new mirror for my vanity table and when it arrives you will help me paint it with the colour I like."
"That's fine with me."
"How can I help?"
Toey said in a small voice.
"You can help me find new pictures to hung on the wall."
"I can definitely help with that."
"I have already changed a couple of things, I am doing it little by little."
They finally arrived at the university and Pun parked the Mini Cooper at the parking lot.
With their bags in one hand and a frapoccino coffee drink in the other, Pun, Fai and Toey made their way into the building like they were the Charlie's Angels.
Once inside they run into the Chancellor of the University.
They politely greeted him and moved on.
Toey lingered behind by kneeling down, pretending to tie his shoelace.
Fai and Pun stopped, and turned.
"Are you coming?" Fai asked.
"Yes, just go. I will catch up with you after I am done tying my shoelace."
Fai and Pun walked on.
Once they were gone, Toey gets up and take a different direction which leads to an empty hallway.
Chancellor Metha was standing there all alone.
Toey walks up and stands beside him.
"How was your holiday?" Chancellor Metha asked.
"It was wonderful. I heard you bought a new house."
"Yes, I did," the Chancellor replied. "Did you get my gift and the roses?"
"Yes, I got them .Thank you very much. They were very lovely."
Chancellor Metha reached for Toey's hand and gave it a squeeze.
"Why did you refuse my calls and my texts messages went on answered."
"Because I am afraid your wife might find out about us."
Rada enters her son's room with clothes that had been dry cleaned. She placed them on the bed and noticed the laptop still on.
She walks over to take a look.
She realizes that Mick was writing a poem, some thing which surprised her. She didn't know her son could write.
Taywit sat in the dining room as the maid was serving breakfast. He had just received a call from Senator Jitbut.
"Senator I want to thank you for that lovely artwork that you sent to my office. I plan to hang it up there."
Mick enters, greets his father before sitting down to eat his breakfast.
"Yes, my son is back from New Zealand and it's his final semester at the university."
Rada followed soon after and she also takes her seat at the table.
The maid came forward and asked if she wanted orange juice or tea. She chose the latter.
"I hope we meet soon to discuss some important matters. It was nice talking to you. Goodbye."
The call ended.
"That was Senator Jitbut. He sends his greetings," Taywit tells his wife.
"How kind of him. I hope he and his family are fine as well."
"Yes, they are."
"I am thinking about organizing a gala to raise funds for a few of my favorite charities."
Taywit smiled approvingly at Rada.
"That's a brilliant idea. Let me know if you need anything."
"I will need help in drawing up the guest list and then maybe I will have Mick recite his poetry at the event."
Mick stopped eating and looked up at his mother.
"How did you know I write poems?"
"And why have you not shown any of them to me?"
"I don't think I am good it."
"You are my son," Rada muttered proudly.
"What's with this talk about poetry this morning?"
Both wife and son only smiled at him.
It was when they were in the library that Pun realized that he had left the laptop that Beer had gifted him in the car.
"I am going to get laptop from the car."
Pun picked his keys, phone, frapoccino coffee drink and off he went.
Glued to the screen of his phone in-between sips of his coffee drink , barely did he look up as he made his way to the parking lot.
Moments later Pun heard the sound of a car horn but just as he raised his head, a sleek white Mercedes SUV cut sharply in front of him before it stopped.
Totally stunned, Pun dropped his coffee drink which spilled after hitting the ground.
Mick gets out the vehicle and rushed over to Pun.
"Are you hurt?"
Pun still visibly shaken screams at Mick.
"How dare you! You frightened the life out me!"
"Am sorry. Is there anything I can do?"
"You have done more than enough. You almost run me over with your car."
"I can replace the drink that was spilled."
"No, thank you."
Mick only smiled.
"Oh, so you find almost running me over funny?"
"I said I was sorry."
Mick gently touched Pun on the shoulder.
"No, I will not accept your apology."
Pun quickly brushed off his hand like it was poison.
"I am not at fault, you didn't looking up even though I alerted you with the car horn."
"Yes, put all the blame on me when I am clearly the victim here."
With that Pun turned and walked away leaving a baffled Mick behind.
After their final lecture, Pun drove his friends to Bambini Villa Mall for a late lunch at their favorite restaurant.
Patisserie Rosie is known for it's French mousse cakes and a menu that covers all things sweet and savory.
A waiter brought them the menu.
"What are your plans for the future?" Pun asked his friends.
Fai leaned forward and said in a low voice. "GMMTV is holding a screenwriting competition and I want to submit an entry."
"That's great. You should go for it," Toey encouraged with a silly grin on his face.
"Do you already have a script?" Pun asked.
"Yes, I do," Fai answered looking at her friend across the table.
Pun nodded with approval.
"Then that's even better."62Please respect copyright.PENANAl3VrYXNxP2
"And you?"
"Well I want to get a place on the Junior committee of The National Gallery."
"Very interesting."
"What about you Pun? What are your plans?"
"As far as career goes I want to be the first Thai editor of The New Yorker."
Both Toey and Fai laughed.
"That's very ambitious. It's Possible though so long as you are willing work to achieve it."62Please respect copyright.PENANAouJ22KJI1p
"I am hungry can we order some food now?" Toey groaned.
"What should we order?"
"Pizza."
"Pizza it is then."
Pun smiled happily at his two best friends.
