On a bright summer day, sailing across the seas ,a cruise ship sails the open seas carrying over 30 passengers to the mainlands. On that ship two boys sit at the edge of the boat observing the waves, one boy is bursting with excitement hardly able to sit down while the other seems stoic and annoyed at the whole situation. The boy with excitement turns to his friend.
“Come on Tyron, you could at least act excited!” Tyron would look up at his friend
“I’m not, so I won’t pretend as if I am…”
“C’mon dude, we are about to head to the mainland of Vakaria! Where we will learn top tier mana control! We can lit-erally become mages! Aren’t you at least a little excited?”
“Okay one, I never wanted to sign up for this. The only reason I did it was because you practically begged me to join you and you’d be more comfortable with someone you know. Two, why did we have to sign up for the most expensive top of the line school when we could have just gone to a regular school?”
“Well it’s not like we didn’t have the money and plus out of the schools this one is the best there is! And they recommended us to join!”
“Well unlike you Luka, I’m not a people person…and the mainlands are full of them. Especially the spoiled rich kids or some snobby clan members….”
“But aren’t you a clan member?”
“I don’t know, my dad used to bring it up, I don’t even know if they are alive or not”
“That’s a pretty tragic story to start off on huh?”
“Gah!!” Tyron was startled by a man leaning down, he had short black messy hair and wore a lab coat, holding an umbrella over him and Tyron.
“I saw you were sweating and figured you’d like some shade.”
“Hey! I’d like some too!”
“By all means, come on!” Tyron watched as Luka plopped down beside him and the man placed his umbrella above them both, a cool air beginning to ooze down and ease their aching bodies. The sun was very unforgiving today and the man was nice enough to cool them off. Tyron looked at the guy and shoved the umbrella away and began to walk away. Handing Luka the umbrella he’d walk over to Tyron and lean forward looking down at the waves with him as Luka cheerfully skipped over.

“Not excited to be here huh?”
“Do you just pop up in everyone’s fucking business?”
“Whoa ho ho, language and towards a potential friend too.” The Man would reach into his pockets and pull out some mints taking a few before offering some to Luka. Taking them Luka would pop them in his mouth and start to chew.
“Ooo it’s gum.”
“Did you seriously just take stuff from a stranger?”
“He’s on the boat with us, how bad can he really be? I mean do you think they’d let someone on the boat that would harm the students??”
“They’ve done that before as a way to test the students' perception and sensory skills. It was a wild event but fortunately they’ve gone against that.”
“Sir.”
“Yes?” Looking behind them Tyron and Luka were greeted by a woman standing behind them. Slender and youthful, well-endowed, with emerald eyes. “Milk too please.” As she requested he pulled a carton out and handed it to her before he grabbed Luka and Tyron yanking them off the edge and then they blacked out.
“What is that sound..?” A loud screeching sound was heard and then-
“TYRON OH MY GOD TYRON OPEN YOUR EYES RIGHT NOW!!!”
“Ugh- Wh- WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!”
“Oh, welcome back. Sorry, the last thing I wanted was for you to be down there and have to deal with this little test.” Looking down Tyron was being held by a chain around his belt along with Luka, Cutie was holding them while they stood on the head of a giant dragon?!!
“Wh-Why are we up here?!”
“You shouldn’t be, thank John for that.”
“Ahh Solomon, how’re you-”
“That’s Principal King to you. Why did you bring two students atop the dragon?”
“You were going to have them fight it, I can’t be that far in the wrong.”
“Get them down.” Luka and Tyron looked down and then back at their principal shocked, John shrugged and Cutie leapt off catching them both and then placing them aboard the ship. Students panicked and fired attacks that barely scratched the mighty beast. Soon it roared, silencing all of the students, biting the boat and raising it in the air as it began taking them for a ride. Right to the island, dropping them off at the school docks.
“You’ll never do that again, do you understand me Johnathan.”
“It’s actually John but yeah yeah, I guess.” The students walked off the boat and were all visibly sick, disturbed, scared, or in Luka’s case. Pretty damn excited. John snickered as he put two fingers behind Solomon’s head giving him bunny ears.
“Welcome everyone to the mainlands.”

“Ouch… Harsh.” The students begin laughing and snickering at what she says and how John reacts to it.

“YES SIR!” The students shouted in union as they all looked towards Nanami and Solomon. Everyone agreed with this and began to form up with their friends, Nanami gave the orders.
“Everyone to your dorms, your letters were sent two months ago and you know who you are with and that your weapons will be waiting. Chop chop everyo-Whoa!”
“Whoops. Best watch your step Ms. Namami.” Holding Ms. Nanami, like a bride on her dance, John gently spun her around and helped her stand up again before kissing her hand and running away as she began to try and kick him.
“JOHNATHAN!”
“He’s so cool! I’m gonna be waay better! Come on Tyron, let’s go! It’s time! Our moment here! At Virtuoso Academy!”
