Ok. So create a character and throw them into a difficult situation where they have to make a choice. 

The sort of choice I would compare it to is the choices made in Dragon age. Who lives and who dies or which side of the war to take. Or some sort of self sacrifice to save someone. 

What makes this decision they have to make complicated. Pros and cons. Are they torn. Are they searching for an alternative to the choices in front of them? 

Make it yours. You're genre choice. Your stamp.
