Our story begins in a wonderful and idyllic kingdom spanning quite the large distance. Here, it is always Spring and auspicious events for magic occur multiple times a month- meaning that magic users, and by extension the kingdom, thrive. 

But an evil sorcerer residing high on a mountain decides to cast a curse on the kingdom, throwing one half into blistering heat and the other into freezing cold.

The Witch, at the request of another, had previously locked her daughter high in a stone tower. She must confront this threat, but as she cannot leave her daughter alone, the Witch brings her daughter the Maiden along on the journey.
