New year,
old me,
dealing with grief and tragedy,
the ghost of my past still haunts me,
though it's almost been two years since I stopped,
two years since the last of my blood dropped,
no more scissors or box cutters,
to harm this beautiful skin of mine,
this year I will clean,
and hope,
and persist,
I will become better,
for this is my spring wish.
