Finding my Truth - Re(v/s)olution

Mother Nature is burning and so is Her protection, so are Her lessons

And it's my fault

Labourers are loaded with crushing exploitation, their souls are weary

And it's my fault

Most people in most places trudge through the sheer pure hurt of poverty

And it's my fault

And we're treated worse than our fellow humans based on what's baseless

And it's my fault

What we lack, where we're from, our God, who we love, is all held against us

And it's my fault

Homeless bites into bodies, into minds, it's a form of violence undeserved

And it's my fault

Colonialism never left us, we just decided to call it something less incriminating

And it's my fault

There are no limits to human misery, to the brokenness, to the deprivation

And it's my fault

I'm bad sometimes

Materialistic sometimes

I don't do all the activism that I really fucking should sometimes

I'm stone-hearted sometimes

I'm judgemental sometimes

I don't care about struggling people nearly as much as I should sometimes

And I desperately want to acknowledge this

Because it's inexcusably true

There are so many unacceptable things

That I've done and continue to do

I should be better

In mind, body, spirit

I should be kinder

In thoughts, words, and actions

And I can be better
