我知道親戚們背後都愛拿我們一家的姓名開玩笑，說我們「一家都係畜牲。」因為父親叫阿郎（狼），母親叫阿雞，沒有錯，就是一隻母雞那個雞，你說荒謬不荒謬？究竟是那一類的父母會給自己的女兒叫阿雞呢？我沒辦法找出答案，因為外婆在我出世前已經過身，外公在我年幼時得了個老人痴呆症，他連自己的名字都掉到九宵雲外了，還怎會記得自己唯一一個女兒的名字？他不愛說話可能也忘記了怎樣說話，他給我最深的印象是，一次我們幾兄妹跟母親去老人院探他，他的床位是空的，我們幾個四處找他，後來我發現他脫掉自己的褲子，光着下半身坐在老人院門外的椅上，我那兩個哥哥只懂一直大笑笑到腰彎了，母親非常尷尬地忙找來一張床單替他蓋上，那時的我八歲，第一次直視一個成年男人的陽具。
