another mark in my skin

(kinda dark, wrote this a while ago)

every word you say

every argument you display

leaves a mark in my skin

every time you win

every second of every day

words will be stuck in my head

stuck in repeat

over and over and over

reminding me how worthless i am

the anxiety fills my body

it doesn’t seem to want to leave

at least that’s what i perceive,

every word you say

every argument you display

leaves yet another mark in my skin

my feelings are thrown in the bin

and you don’t seem to want to leave

at least that’s what i perceive

if i let you stay

will it be the same every day?

endless arguments

endless suffering

all i want is a painless day

a day where those words won’t be in my head

a day where i don’t feel worthless

a day where the anxiety goes away

or maybe even a day

where i won’t leave another mark in my skin
