Lu Xia looked down at her ipad, it was clear her essay has been copied by some person. Her marks were low, even lower than her confidence. She looked around, no one lifted their head to look at her back, instead, they were all engross in talking to each other.
She didn't have any friends in the university. " Miss Lu Xia, please meet me in my office." The second hand embarrassment that she has received. Every head turned to look at her and soon the lecture hall was filled with whispers and gossips.
Lu Xia sighed before walking towards the office that was in the lecture hall, opening the door. She was just about to speak till the teacher slammed her hand on the desk, staring at her.
"Tell me, did you copy someone's work to do the essay?" Lu Xia's face was replaced with confusion. She would never copy someone's work, even if she were to do so, it would just be for inspiration. She shook her head. "Someone reported that you have copied their essay, threatening them."
She knew who, Yi Xin and her stupid group of friends. Of course they would do something like that and try to ruin her reputation.
"I hope this isn't real and I hope that I don't hear anything about this every again," She said. Lu Xia slowly nodded her head before opening the door, slamming it. Her anger was something that she could not describe well. It was purely filled with anger.
"Didn't know you were such a cheat. I thought a gamer is honest, what if you have been cheating in the tournament? Oh my days, I need to ask the public about that," Yi Xin said as she took out her phone, typing out something.
Lu Xia stared at her in anger, her thoughts started to be filled with violence. Pushing Yi Xin and letting her back hit the wall, Lu Xia's eyes pierced through her eyes. "Next time when you try to do this. I'll make sure you don't have what you want. So I suggest keep that pretty face away from my sight because I might just start ruining it," Lu Xia spat.
"I could sue you, post it in social media saying you threaten me. Like you would get cancelled immediately," Yi Xin chuckled, playing with Lu Xia's brown long hair. Lu Xia stared at her, wanting to pull her god damn hair till Jiao Huang had came to the scene.
"도대체 뭐 하는 거야? 루샤가 이제 그녀를 놓아줬어 (What the hell are you doing? Lu Xia let go of her now)," Jiao Huang shouted. Yi Xin silently laughed whispering to Lu Xia.
"You even need a body guard to help you. Shame," She whispered, lightly pushing Lu Xia off her, walking away. Lu Xia's fist clenched as she glared at Yi Xin's back. Biting her lips, she turned around, staring at Jiao Huang who was crossing his arms.
"Don't give me a lecture," Lu Xia muttered, walking off, not bothering to wait for Jiao Huang.
"What was that all about? Did you get into a fight?" Jiao Huang asked as he tried to catch up with her speed.
"Nothing you need to be concern about. A single word out, I'll make sure to rip that mouth of yours," Lu Xia threatened.
Jiao Huang looked at her with confusion. He was flabbergasted at what she was doing. Purely because he doesn't know what is going on most of the time but he knows that when she pin that girl, he knew something was wrong.
"Your brother told me to pick you up and bring you to him. He said that your mother wants to meet the three of you," Jiao Huang said as they walked into the car. Lu Xia nodded her head as she got into the car. The ride was silent, there was simply no conversation, no random movements or noises. Just the two of them, listening to music.
Getting down from the car, she reached the cafe that she was suppose to meet, leaving Jiao Huang behind. "Ma." She called out as she went forward to hug her mother.
"Lu Xia, sit down," Her mother ordered as they let go of the hug, seating next to Lu Yue who was already panicking at the sight of their mother. "When are you going to get married, Si Cheng. You are of the age where nearly no girls want you anymore."
"Ma, relax, Ge's facecard will save his own marriage. Don't need to worry about him," Lu Yue said as he looked at Cheng Ge, trying to stop himself from laughing. Lu Xia bit her lips, preventing a giggle from coming out, pinching Lu Yue's thigh. Lu Yue let out a yelp, hitting Lu Xia's shoulder.
"That is of course, but I don't want it to like he is too single till he looks like he is begging to get married," Their mom said, "Lu Xia, how's school."
"Quite alright. Nothing amazing," Lu Xia mumbled, fiddling her sleeves. She looked up realizing her mother was asking about her marks. "I pass most of the test and I would always get highest." Lies. She knew she had to make it believable.
Her mother let out a hum, acknowledging what she heard. That was till she received a call. Lu Xia quickly answered, earning a shout from the other side of the phone, alerting her brothers and mother.
She bit her lips, groaning softly before putting the phone back down and standing up. "Practice session," She simply said, leaving the place.
As she opened the doors to the villa, she was met with a shout, a scream. Before Jiao Huang could even get in the villa, he was met a scream. Lu Xia heard a male scream before meeting a slap on her face. Jiao Huang heard a scream, a female scream. He looked at the scene in front of him, the manager enraged with anger, slapping Lu Xia.
He was shocked. He couldn't move. No words could explain what he saw in front of him. She felt the pain on her cheeks. "I told you people to come early. I reminded you guys to come back early to prepare for you god damn practice. Instead you disobeyed my words."
"She was meeting her mom and brothers," Jiao Huang intervene, trying to tell the manager the reason.
"Bullshit. I don't care whether you are meeting them or not, you are late. Late means punishment. You are not starting the team for the match. Ai Jia has rest enough, he will do it," The manager said. Lu Xia glared at him, fist clenched.
"You can't do that shit. She has been training a lot. You can't just because of this you pull her out of the team for the starting match," Liang Sheng defended.
"You have no say in this. Either this or I will also find a replacement for you," The manager threatened.
"Ah shibal," Lu Xia cursed before punching the manager's cheek. However, she should've known that the moment she did that, she'd suffer worse than he did. Despite the shouts, despite the screams, she was still suffering. Her eyes looking at Jiao Huang, feeling a sense of vulnerability.
She hated that he is going to see her suffer. She hated the fact that he is looking at her suffering while he couldn't do anything. She hated the fact that she was screaming in pain in front of him. She swore she saw a tear slipping down his cheeks till she was pulled away to hell.
