Master Chief was on the UNSC Infinity walking to the armory to get prepped for a mission. The mission was to scout out an undiscovered planet for any hostile/Banished forces. Him and Blue team would be going.
“So this an undiscovered planet?” Asked Linda.
“Yes. And WE have to scout it.” Replied Fred.
They got ready and headed to the hangar bay to get on a pelican. As they were flying down to the surface, there was 5 Tank figured in the jungle that were close to the drop zone.
Master Chief just stared into space as he sat in the cockpit.
“Chief? Everything okay?” Asked Kelly.
“Yeah.” Replied Chief.
They landed at the drop zone and exited it.
“Hey. What’s that?” Asked Fred as he pointed at a mutated, giant, tank form. Master Chief shot at the mutated flood tank form as he shot at the flood form.
Kelly,Linda, and Fred started shooting as well. They started to slowly back away as more and more different flood forms appeared.
“Get to the pelic-“ Chief tried to say but the first mutated tank whacked the back of his head and he went flying into a tree and going unconscious.
“Oh crap!” Yelled Kelly.
“Chief!” Yelled Fred as he and Linda ran to drag Chief onto the pelican as Kelly covered them.
“Go! Go!” Yelled Fred.
As Kelly drove off, Linda sat in the seat beside Kelly.
“You think Chief’ll be okay?” Asked Kelly.
“Not so sure. He’s unconscious. May have a concussion and a broken shoulder. But not sure.” Replied Linda.
As they drove to the UNSC Infinity Thomas Lasky contacted them.
“Why’re you guys coming back so soon?” Asked Lasky.
“The DAMN second we landed, one mutated tank flood form, and a bunch of other flood forms attacked us!” Said Linda.
“WHAT? Was anyone injured?” Asked Thomas Lasky worriedly.
“Yes, Chief. He’s unconscious right now.” Replied Kelly.
“Alright. Once you get back, we can show you the Spartans in choice for while Chief recovers.” Said Lasky.
