The pad goes away and I see the hidden weapons. I pick a bow-and-arrow and two guns. Its go time. The real question is how am I going to save everyone? I rat my brain for answers, and remember that Arion is the place to go for help.
Arion is a neighboring city that I'd say is as powerful as Belf. Arion has half human-half horses as the secondary protectors though. The secondary protectors probably wouldnt trust me for I am part wolf, but in this case it is worth a shot.
I find a map that shows the way to Arion and go on my path. It is dark as I take off, good time for wolves to be out. I have one night to save the wolves, if it turns morning the wolves will stay wild. After 30 minutes of walking, I hear something move behind the trees. I slowly take out one of my arrows and place it on the bow.
I'm not going to lie to you, I was scared. My legs trembled so much, I couldnt keep my arrow steady. I look in the direction of the creature, and see red glowing eyes. Now I definitely know a wolf is there.
Out of no where, the creature jumps at me. Without another thought, I shoot the wolf. It goes down as soon as I shoot. Apparently I shot the wolf in the eye, for there was blood gushing out of it.The arrow went through the eye and the back of its head. Before he fell I heard a whimper, I feel bad for this but it is the way of the world.
I say a pray and go back on my way. This time, I run to avoid running into anothe wolf. When there is a full moon, the night lasts for what feels like days. After hours of walking, I enter the gates of Arion.
I run to the capital of Arion and encounter two guards. "What do you need, young lady?" Asks one of the guards who was a half man half horse.
"I am Mira Vera of Belf and come with a message for your captain." I say.
"What message is that?" Asks the second guard. I explain the problem and the guards laugh. "Who do you think we are, kid? Go back."
"I am the daughter of the captain of Belf. I command you to let me through." I say. They still didn't believe me. I pull out my gun and scream for them to let me through, this alerts the other guards.
Five more identical guards circle me. They all pull out spears and aim them at me. I tremble with fear, what would mom do? I try my best not to show this fear and pit my hands in the air. This didn't ease the guards down, they just advance. I do the only think I can. I pull out my guns and shoot the guards in the shins.
As fast as lightning, I bolt through the gates of the city. More guards appear behind me as I run. I take out my bow and arrow and shoot the guards in the shins. I am almost to the headquarters, then a giant gets between me and the door.
I wasn't fast enough and got hit with his body. I fell unconscious and my body ached all over. I finally woke up and found myself in a cozy silk sheet bed. I get up and it causes my head to ache and throb.
Before long, a scenatar guard comes in followed by a man. The man walked over to me and asked me what was so important that I went through all that trouble. I can't believe he was the captain. I imagined him young and handsome, not old and fit. I explained to him the issue that accord in Belf. At first he didn't believe me until I told him who I was.
The captain acted fast and went to ring the bell to warn the towns people. However, it was too late. By the time the captain got to the bell, he could see the people running away from a group of wolves.
I slide down the rope from the bell to the towns people. I run to the people and shoot the wolves. I then help the towns folk get to safety. Everyone in the town was now in the tunnel leading to the safe houses underground. Everyone was put in the town for safety. In look around and only see people setting up camp and not training. Why aren't they ready to fight?
I run to the captain and ask him why isn't he training for battle. "Mira, there is nothing to do. We can't talk to them, because they are wild and won't understand what we are saying. If we kill them, Belf will hate us." Said the captain. The captain does make a good point, but that doesn't mean I should give up.
While laying in my bed in an Inn, I thought about the last time a wolf went wild. The wolves had said that they didn't have any control over what they ddid, it was like they were being controlled. Who would control a wolf, and for what?
I walk to the nearest library and touch up on the history of the wolves. I found out back in the olden times, a wizard was the lord of the wolves. The wolves would do anything that the wizard said, as if they were mind controlled. After some years the wolves weren't in the wizard's control anymore.
The pages that explained how the wolves came out of the wizard's control. I look at the table of contents and go to the page that explains the escape of the wolves. The pages were torn out. I search throughout the library, but no information about the wizard was found.
It was like someone tried to erase his name from the history books. I couldn't find out where he lived, why he enslaved the wolves, nothing.
I decide that I should bring this up to the captain. I go to the captain's office without delay, and find him in his chair. "Why can't I find any information about the wizard that enslaved the wolves?" I ask.
"Because I took them out." Said the captain without moving a muscle in his face.
"Why?" I ask.
"The pages were banned by the government for their content."
"It can't be that bad. I think those pages are the key to saving the wolves and the town." I said enthusiastic.
The captain started to look ticked off. "The pages aren't the answers to saving everyone." He screamed.
"Why not?!"
"That information will take you on a wild goose chase that will kill you."
"You don't know that!"
"I know what I am talking about. A girl like you used those pages before and died."
"How do you know?"
"That girl was my daughter!" Screamed the captain when I pushed for answers.
