I don't like Family Guy. I never have. I think it's a piece of garbage. I'm honestly not into adult cartoons in general. I've never really been a fan of The Simpsons, South Park, or King Of The Hill. But I can't say those shows are terrible. Family Guy is freaking terrible. One big difference between those other shows I mentioned and Family Guy is that those shows can actually be pretty funny. I've seen a little bit of all of them and they all have made me laugh. Family Guy's stupid random cutaway jokes have never made me laugh. They're freaking lazy and just come off as "we couldn't think of a joke, so let's just put in something random." Tomatoes, corn, chicken pot pie, Kim Karadashian. Was that funny? Of course not. Not to mention that some of these stupid cutaway jokes go on for way too freaking long. Most of the jokes are not only unfunny, but trying way too hard to be offensive. "Dur hur, it's funny because it's racist. Dur hur, it's funny because it's offensive to disabled people." Just because you're doing something offensive, it doesn't automatically make it funny. Cutting off a deaf kid's head (yes, they did this one episode) is not automatic humor! Yes, offensive jokes CAN be funny. But they require thought and effort put into them, something Family Guy NEVER puts into their jokes. Here's a Mexican guy, he's eating a burrito, laugh at it. Finally Peter Griffin is a godawful main character. He's annoying, he's obnoxious, and if I ever met anyone like him in real life I would punch that person so hard that all their teeth falls out. I just can't stand this freaking idiot. Why Meg chooses to stay married to him is something I will never understand. Homer Simpson is an idiot and a buffoon, but he can at least be funny and charming (from the few episodes I've seen). Peter Griffin has no charm whatsoever.
