All the pain. The uncomfort. The doubt. 

Sometimes I wonder if we were ever really in love. Perhaps if we really were, I would have noticed sooner. 

And I really thought we were going to be happy together - how foolish of me. 

I was the one to propose first. And I thought she really wanted to live together with me. But now. . . 

I don't know. I really don't know.
