When I woke up after our nap, Peter was still asleep with his arms around me. It honestly reminded me of that one time Rueben into my room and bed when he ran away from home at age fourteen and I was twelve. His haircut was the exact same as when Rueben was this age, but Peter's hair is black unlike Rueben's. The way he held me tightly but gently even though he was sleeping. The way his mouth was wide open and drool was coming out of it. Everything Peter did unconsciously reminded me of Rueben. Peter's eyelids flickered and he looked at me with curiosity in his dark eyes for a brief second before he kissed me.
"Kids, it's dinner time," a voice called from the other side of the door while we were kissing. Peter pulled away and got out of my bed. He rushed over and helped me out of bed.
"Thank you," I said. Peter smiled with just his eyes.
"You mean the world to me," Peter said, "Now, let's get some dinner." He walked with me to the dinning room and pulled out a chair next to an empty chair on the left, Jesse's seat on the right, diagonal from Peter's Mama, and across from Peter's Mom. On the table were a bunch of dishes that I had never seen before, maybe because Peter and his moms had a foreign last name the food they normally ate was also foreign. I tried the soup in front of me first and Constantine's memories began flooding in, I finally had unlocked the secrets of Constantine. He didn't have many good memories of his home life, aside from being with Jesse, but he did have a lot of good memories with the Nekotamas.
"This is the soup you served me last time," I said, "It's been a long time, eight years I think. It was spring and your garden was filled with flowers. Peter had just won a race at school and we played in the backyard until dinnertime. After dinner, we played video games until Peter's Mom served a strawberry shortcake that she had made. My parents asked you to watch me for a little while before my Mother came to pick me up with my sister, who didn't want to be here at all." All eyes were on me.
"Did you just get your memories back?" Peter's Mom asked.
"I think it was the soup that brought it back," I said.

"Thank you, Connie," Peter's Mom said. I ate until my stomach felt full. I didn't have morning sickness today, so I'm hoping that I won't have it for the rest of the pregnancy. After dinner, I took a shower in my bathroom, got changed into pajamas, and sat at my desk looking at my phone. Peter came into my room after a shower dressed in pajamas and sat on my bed.
"I got permission from my moms to sleep in your room tonight," Peter said, "Can I have your permission too?"
"Why would you need permission from someone other than me to sleep in my room at night?" I asked, "But sure, I guess. I'm already pregnant. What else can happen?" I was still a little sleepy after our nap, so I decided to get into bed right then and Peter followed suit. Peter rolled over so that he was on top of me.
"I love you, Connie," Peter said as he held a piece of my long hair and kissed it.
"I love you too, Peter," I said. Peter unbuttoned my pajama top and I got a feeling that he wanted to actually sleep with me this time, not just next to me like last time. He started kissing me all over from my stomach up and didn't even take off my pants. After a while, he put his hand gently on my stomach.
"I can't wait to meet them," Peter said, "I was extremely sad when I died before meeting our child last time, I think that was Rueben's biggest regret."
"Ruby didn't meet Joelle either," I said, "So I understand. I was a little apprehensive at first about the twins, but now that I finally feel safe, I'm very happy. Being fifteen and pregnant doesn't seem to be a thing nowadays, but didn't Ruby have her older son, Lucas, when she was fifteen?" Peter made a disgusted face.
"Don't remind me," Peter said, "We can only get married when we're 18 here, so we have to wait 3 years. Besides your birthday is next month, so you'll be sixteen when the twins are born. It's a little weird that you're three months older than me, because I used to be two years and three months older than you when I was Rueben." Peter rolled off me and I moved my phone to the night stand next to my bed to plug it into the charger.
"This is irrelevant, but I think it should be said," I said, "I feel safe here. I don't think I'd feel safe with a workaholic Father who barely spends time at home and it wouldn't be okay if Jesse stayed with him either. I don't think I can trust him and I absolutely can't trust Mother or Charlotte with him." My phone started ringing, it was from an unknown number.
"Answer it," Peter said as if he understood my anxiety. I picked up the call.
"Hello," I said.
"Is this Fredrick Blaine's son, Constantine?" Mr. Xavier asked from the other end, "It's me, Marcus Xavier."
"Yes," I said, "Why are you calling me at this time?"
"Your father collapsed at work," Mr. Xavier said, "I remembered your number so I called you, because he had told me of the situation with your family. Well, I'm at the hospital with him, I road in the ambulance with him. They just told me to inform the next of kin to come, but I informed them that you're a minor who just got out of the hospital. "When I left his room in the ICU to make this call in the parking lot, I passed two rooms in the ICU that had your mother and sister's name on the nameplate. I looked in briefly to both of them and they looked worse off than you were a few months ago. I think your family was cursed, so you should probably keep a close eye on Jesse. I'm so glad that you weren't at home, you should definitely let your partner's family know that you're grateful. They seem like really nice people. Well, I have to go, my partner is waiting." It was hard to take it all in, what if all of them died because of me?
"Okay..." I said, "I'll let them know. Have a good night."
"Good night," Mr. Xavier said, "Bye."
"Bye," I said and hung up. Peter looked at me with expectant eyes.
"So, what was that about?" Peter asked.
"My parents and sister are all in the hospital," I said, "Father had a bad heart attack, but I don't know why Mother and Charlotte are in the hospital. Father's secretary said that Mother and Charlotte's injuries were probably worse than when I got hit by the truck."
