Poetry, eh? To most people, poetry isn't so interesting, but to those special of us, we know the truth. Poetry can be amazing and vibrant as long as you are reading the right kind of poetry.

But how about explaining poetry? Now that's a different art.

Below, I have supplied the beautiful, the famous, the touching poem "Harlem" by Langston Hughes. In as many or as few words as you need, write a prose about this poem.  It can retell it, explain it, or be a narrative based off it. Anything, as long as it is in a paragraph form (that's what prose is).

So, you think you're up to the challenge? Give it a go!

Harlem
by Langston Hughes

What happens to a dream deferred?

      Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
      Or fester like a sore—
      And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
      Or crust and sugar over—
      like a syrupy sweet?

      Maybe it just sags
      like a heavy load.

      Or does it explode?
