他只是公主的家僕，相貌平平、地位低下、家境貧窮，偏偏公主欣賞平平無奇的他。在機緣巧合下，公主和他流落荒島，兩人在野外絕境求生，交織出情感之網。離開荒島後，國已亡，二人在城中過簡樸的生活，在家中、麵店裏卻不斷擦出火花。

婚後翌年，他發現自己身患不治之症，為了公主的幸福着想，寫下休書，希望公主另覓佳偶。但公主始終放不下，一直耿耿於懷，經常回想昔日美好的回憶，一直留戀着過去，一直把精神寄托在這個人身上，她自己也不知道究竟放不下的是這個人，還是昔日的點點滴滴。公主心裏明白兩個人已經不可能再回到從前了。往事早已化着一縷青煙，消散在無垠的長空中。

在無數個夜晚公主窗邊仰望夜空。星很美。漆黑中繁星點綴，不及明月皎潔仍璀璨奪目，然而與星辰之間有著多少光年的距離？在銀河之中，她又怎樣找到他的方向？也許冥冥中自有主宰。
