A curse from the author of Hell.

A story only known to me.

Followed and mocked by the full moon.

Written with blood, fur, and sharp teeth.

Harboring a beast within, in the shell of a mortal man.

I don't understand, never been bitten or cursed,

How can this be?

Howling at midnight like a feral dog.

Prowling for miles in a foreboding forest.

I have a voice in my head that screams, "Be the wolf and you'll be free."

What the hell is wrong with me?

Scouring the world for my next victim with my glowing yellow eyes.

Lying nude on the floor with a closed door behind me, a new morning.

A new day begins, business as usual.

It comes again when the sun has set.

Another night comes and the voice screams again,

"Be the wolf and you'll be free."

Blood on my hands from a person I don't know.

Nameless and faceless till morning light.

Another witness to what I've done.

I am ashamed, but cannot stop.

Shredding my neighbors and friends alike.

A taste of blood I cannot curb, with an insufferable appetite.

What will I do when the time comes that I come after you?

Your flesh between my teeth and your blood all over my body.

You're dead because of me, I can't help myself.

Your taste, I won't get out of my mind.

The voice starts screaming, "Be the wolf and you'll be free."

A knock at your door, a scratch at your window, it's me waiting outside.

When you are missing, no one will find you.

You'll be missing and no one will know what happened to you.

The howl you'll hear will be me.
