Hezago stood up, headache far too strong. Trying his best to ignore this, he picked up what was now his umbrella and observed his surroundings. He was still in his vault, but something was ever so slightly different.

There were now pictures on the walls of his vault, which were quite recognisable. He stood up to find an elf standing at the doorway. “Are you done here sir?” He asked. Hezago dusted himself off. “Yes, Nearly, let me just just-” A brown bag appeared in his hand, already filled with money.

“Very well then, you have 10 minutes to get done with your business.” The Elf said, and walked away. Hezago pocketed his money and left the vault. As soon as he stepped out of it, the vault slammed shut. Hezago was momentarily startled by the sudden noise, and he was a bit taken aback by this, but nonetheless continued on back to the lobby. The floating platform would lead him back to the lobby, where Zack was waiting.

“So, How Was It?” Hezago asked, having nothing else to talk about. “Well it was fine, I guess.” Zack replied. “Mhm.” said Hezago. He contemplated telling him about his events with his mother, but keeping that secret was the best course. “What’s the umbrella for?” Zack asked, noticing the umbrella by his side. “Well I found this in there, so I decided it’d take it with me.” “Oh. Ok.” Zack replied.

The platform beneath them suddenly moved them toward the entrance, beckoning them to leave. When the platform hit the entrance, they stepped back into the plaza.

“So... What do we do now?” Zack asked. “I Think we’re supposed to get our stuff.” “What are we supposed to get anyway?” “I dunno. The pamphlet we were given should say something about that,” Hezago replied, flipping through and landing on the part of the booklet that had their school supplies.

“Wha?” Hezago said, confused, and rightly so. The thing wanted him to get things from a random frying pan and some kerosene. Well, that was odd. But eh, it was a magic school after all. The third item on the list was an animal of their choice, and it turned out there was a shop just for that right across the plaza.

Quite convenient.

Entering the store, the two would depart and look for their respective favourite animals, unaware that Mark was in the store with them. Hezago would begin looking for a cat, and one would soon come about, but not in the condition he expected it to be. It was at this very moment fighting with a snake of sorts that was apparently trying to choke it to death. The cat was losing blood, and rapidly so, but the snake, on the other hand, had nearly lost his head. Hezago, separated the two with magic, looking quite elegant while doing so, going forward and attending to both the cat and the snake’s wounds (but honestly, he paid more attention to the cat).

“There we go,” Hezago said, throwing the snake into its cage, and turning to look at the cat. He picked it up and started looking around for its catio. Rather unexpectedly, the cat teleported him and itself to a separate location of the store. There was nobody there, except for a few other animals and a casket of kittens.

The cat jumped out of his hands and into the casket and started playing with the other kittens. “Awww” Hezago said, smiling. “You know what, I think I’ll keep you all.” The cat looked at him with a look of bewilderment, but Hezago just smiled at this and nonetheless picked up the casket and headed toward the checkout.

That is, until he heard a scream coming from the corner of the store. For the love of melbourne. Hezago thought. That was Mark isn’t it. He’s probably torturing someone right now, isn’t he. And right he was. The minute he walked into the area in which the commotion was taking place, he saw Mark standing there, pulling the hair of a fellow student. Hezago frowned deeply enough to feel it. So hard that you could even notice it, and notice it Mark did. He turned toward him and growled like the dog he was.

"You.”

Hezago chuckled. “Yes, me. How wonderful it is to see you, Marcus.” Marcus looked upon him in disgust. “You bit-” Hezago cut him off. “What? I can’t hear you~! Your insults don’t affect me, Devandal. ” Mark’s face went sour. “But my fists will!” he Hissed, And lunged at him. Hezago sidestepped him and smirked as Mark fell to the ground. Mark hastily stood up and tried to land a punch on him, but hezago grabbed his hand before he could.

“Hand me your wand, darling.” Hezagosaid, smiling. “You don’t want to know what’ll happen if you don’t.” Mark shuddered, but nonetheless refused. “Very well then,” Hezago said, “I’ll take it anyway.” And so he did.

He contorted Mark’s body in the most inhumane of ways and took the wand out of his pocket. He then turned toward the boy in which Mark had bullied. “Hello,” He said. The boy shrunk back in fear. “It’s alright, let me help you.” Noticing that the casket was still on him, he put it into the casket that he was still carrying and used his umbrella to cast a healing spell on the boy.

A look of relief and thanks bloomed on the boy’s face, as he looked up to him with a smile. Hezago smiled back. “You’re welcome, then.” He then turned around and tossed Mark’s wand back to him, and walked off to the checkout.

“That will be 600 panevani, please.” Hezago shuffled in his pouch and bought out a diamond panevani. “Will this do?” He asked. The cashier’s face lightened up. “Yes, yes it will.” Hezago walked out of the store pleased, and satisfied, to find that Zack had already bought himself a parrot and was apparently thinking of a name for it. “Paco? No... Oh! There you’re here, finally! What took you so long?” Zack said, looking at him with a hint of slight relief. “Do you mind if I put my Parrot in there?” Hezago nodded.

At the moment, he was trying to have the umbrella make itself smaller, but it kept switching between being his wand and being the umbrella it was. But, oh well. In the end, he walked away from the store holding an umbrella and a casket, holding a cat, three kittens, and, for some reason, a parrot.
